Using with Comp II ...

Using with Comp II speedloaders. At first the loaders were difficult to remove, and that was frustrating. The instructions for use are of no help whatsoever. #5 of the written procedure says to "simply pull straight up". Well, duh! The loaders are held in both by a bottom plastic clip and are under spring tension. It seems one would have to have fingernails made of spring steel in order to effectively pull out a Comp II loader under time pressure. I don't think anyone at the company really tried to do this. I tested the pouch with the bottom retainers removed, per the instructions, but the loaders did not stay put during movement between targets at a given stage. Reinstalled the bottom retainers. While trying to improve my technique, I discovered that the best way to pull a speedloader from this pouch is counterintuitive. I had been trying to pull the loader closest to the belt buckle first. What I found is that if the loader farthest from the belt buckle is removed first by wedging the thumb between the spring retainer and the loader, it pops right out. Then go to the next one farthest from the belt buckle, and so on. These pouches are light weight and the material is really tough. Someday, someone may come up with a better idea for Comp II reloaders, but in the meantime these work quite well. Some time has to be spent getting used to them, but they do work. I just wish the instructions would inform the user of this easy way to remove a speedloader.
