I put the .45-70 case ...

I put the .45-70 case length gage to use immediately on both new and previously fired brass. It is much, much faster than checking with a locked caliper. All you need to do insert the case and visually check the mouth end of the gage for max and min length. The limits for max and min case length are clearly visible on the OUTSIDE of the mouth end of the gage.Again, this is much faster than with my caliper. I highly recommend this tool for .45-70.
