This unique holster design allows you to forget old-fashioned thumb breaks that slow your draw and complicate re-holstering. The patented SERPA Technology lock engages the trigger guard as you holster the pistol and won't let go until you release it. The release is made using your normal drawing motion, with the trigger finger beside the holster body. The perfect retention holster for concealed carry. The weapon can't accidentally leave the holster.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS,IT WILL HELP OUT ALOT!!Have 2 or 3 of these for every pistol I own,they work great but I can only comment on the paddle,I have never used the belt attachment and I have alot of those sitting around.A little piece of advise,on the paddle, there is a hook that holds the holster tight to your pants(not the 2 hooks that are screwed on) it is very hard to get this holster off without undoing your pants or shorts,I shaved off the bottom paddle hook and its so easy to take off now,(grab the holster towards the bottom push down and pull away from you just alittle so the 2 hook screws are clear from your belt and pull off the holster) are the 2 hooks that are screws still grab the belt so it is more than secure. The paddle hook does nothing except become a pain in the butt.Dont be afraid to fine tune these holsters,I have mine so that I dont need to press the release button all the way down to unholster but is still very secure. I use blades and files on all of mine for just the right action. I take my firearm off 7-10 times a day and I have never had any problems at all.I know this is alot but I hope it helps.

I use this great holster for both my Colt Government Mdl IV, Series 70 .45 Auto and my GSG 1911 .22cal. Holster is a little tight fitting now, but should loosen up through use. I like the fact that it works with both 1911 style pistols I own.

I was a Patrol Officer for 12 years in Dallas, TX and I used the Blackhawk CQC Serpa Holster with my Colt Stainless Steel Combat Commander. I've never used any other holster as fast, durable, and rugged as the Serpa!! One night while chasing down an armed subject on foot, the subject tripped and fell and landed face down on the ground. As he rolled to get up, he presented a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol out of his pants. I drew my Colt from my Serpa and shot and the Smith and Wesson went flying out of his hand. If it wasn't for my drawing ability and the speed of the Serpa, I wouldn't have went home that night! I was allowed to bring home with me that Smith and Wesson 9mm with my 45 slug buried in the side of it! It turn out to be a great conversation piece!

The good news first, Works great and as advertised. Locks my RIA 1911 Tac in solid and the paddle system is very easy to manipulate.The bad news is it is VERY tight fitting at first. Almost to the point of scratching the finnish. I resolved this by sanding the inside of the holster down a bit. I know its a polymer holster but when I opened the package my immediate impression was "this cheap piece of plastic cost amost $40!" It should cost about $25 bucks in my opinion. It does work great and looks good on your side. I would like to see a nicer fit and finnish for the money. Mine had bonding lines all over that I had to sand down. Overall good product and functions as intended.

Ordered one of these after it was recommended by numerous friends. The holster comes with a belt mount and the paddle mount. The belt mount is perfect for open carry and is very comfortable, the only reason i know i have a holster on is I carry a full sized 1911. SERPA tech works great, draw is easy and the pistol is secure, this is a must have for the range or for secure carry purposes.

I absolutely love this holster. Their are two small problems I had with this holster that I quickly remedied. Firstly, the paddle attachment is ridiculously hard to get off, but as long as you use the belt attachment it works just fine. Also, I noticed a small part of the inside of the holster was wearing on my pistol so I glued a tiny piece of moleskin inside, problem solved.This holster is comfortable, and secure. Not only is it possible to forget your wearing it but you can feel secure knowing that nobody will be able to disarm you. The S&W M&P I bought it for fits in so perfect there is absolutely no rattling, but releases with ease. Drawing from this holster is so instinctive it takes no practice, nor does it slow your draw even the smallest bit. The adjustable cant is an awesome feature that allows the user to set the cant straight up and down or 45 degrees forward and everywhere in between. I keep mine all the way forward and once again, absolutely love it.

This is the second Serpa I've bought. The first was for my XD9. They are a little snug at first, but once they "wear" in, they're great holsters. They don't get loose and sloppy like other molded holsters. The other thing I like is that they're convertible from paddle to belt mount. I prefer paddle because I carry concealed and need my pistol that little bit closer help conceal it. But I do swap it to belt mount when I shoot competition. The low cut front allows for a pretty quick draw too. So far, I've been pretty impressed with all of Blackhawk's products, but these holsters are by far my favorite!

I just recieved this holster. I love it! When I put my 45ACP in it --it immediately locks in place!When you go to draw a slight push of the trigger finger releases the lock and that finger slides along as you draw to fall right in the trigger hole.You also have ful grasp of the grip. Great buy for the money. It's also adjustable for tilt and height! I don't think you'l go wrong here.
