First and foremost, the ...

First and foremost, the book has very easy to follow assembly instructions with excellent photographs. The book also includes informative tips on what pitfalls to watch-out for during the assy processes; this is in addition to explaining easier ways to do certain assy steps. One good example is the phenomenal installation instructions for the Jewell Match Trigger. This excellent trigger comes packaged with some pretty vague instructions from the manufacturer; in fact, these instructions do a great disservice to an otherwise near perfect trigger. But, I was able to install this after-market trigger in less than 30 mins. by following the book's instructions. This was also done while I was sitting on my bed being distracted by watching TV. The installation continues with very thorough info on how to adjust and fine tune this great trigger once installed. This is but a small example of how this book has helped me. I don't want to sound melodramatic ...but this little book is G-R-E-A-T!

I was very disappointed in this book, I expected more from Duff and Mckee. Really the book is written by Mckees web guy. FYI, I'm not of fan of Fulton website either. Website is messy and unorganized. Book is very outdated, rarely covers the current M-16 versions, no A3, A4s etc, when it does it appears to be brief reprint add-ins. I've built competitive AR's for 20 years and this book doesn't cover any detail on chambers or any form of competitive Gunsmithing that I expected. This book being tagged to Fulton armory "should" cover competition Gunsmithing. I feel the book is an expensive installation guide to replace jewel triggers poor instructions. This book is good for the weekend shooter or someone curious about the M-16s history but if your wanting a tack driving AR then get "The Competitive AR-15."

This guide gave me what I was looking for with my AR-15 build. Narratives and tips great photos could be a bit sharper but ok.

If you want to build an AR-15, this is the book you need. It could be better if it had a section to help you tell the springs apart, but you can pretty easily figure it out with what they give you. A great book for assembly.

This would be an excellent book and guide if "Parts you'll Need" pictured components were "Tagged" so that you could quickly distinguish pictured item with it's related part name/description.Pictured illustration are helpful.

Great book for anyone who owns or want to own an AR-15. Got the book but did not use it to assemble my lower reciever and it didn't work. I used the book and its detailed pictures to see I had a spring backwards. I had not seen any pictures of how to assemble a lower that were this detailed any where.

This is the best all around assembly manual for the AR out there. I have assembled four rifles from parts kits so far and refer to it often during assembly. It needs one update regarding building a rifle with a collapsible stock. The current edition dates from the dark days of the Clinton ban and is incorrect.

If you own or if you are even thinking of owning an AR15 you owe it to yourself to get this book. If you know someone with an AR be a great friend and get them a copy. There is nothing you won't be able to do with this book as your guide. The descriptions of each step are accompanied by clear photos that precisely show the placement of each part. With this one book you can take an AR that is literally broken down to its smallest parts and build a complete rifle.
