These reamers are produced from premium M-42 tool steel and are individually hand-stoned to cut smooth and chatter free. Made to SAAMI Specifications for standardized cartridges and to the current industry standard for popular wildcat cartridges. They feature a solid pilot and a 3/8" square drive shank for use with a tap wrench. Right hand cut.

Precision reamer. Cuts ...

Precision reamer. Cuts smoothly without biting or chattering. 3/8" square driving end somewhat problematic when used on a bolt action. Removed bolt and used a 3/8" to 1/4" socket adapter, a 1/4" socket extension, and a tap handle on the end of the 1/4" extension to drive the reamer in the chamber of a Ruger 77/22 Hornet. Diameter of the adapter was snug in the receiver bolt channel which helped to keep the reamer straight while the play in extension shaft provided some flexibility in hand turning the tap wrench. Don't recommend using a power drill; it isn't needed. Slow, steady pressure and hand turning worked very well. Reamer has multiple cutting surfaces behind the main chamber part of the reamer, for example, it is possible to cut a recess into the chamber so the rim of the cartridge is recessed. Need to exercise care if your chamber is not recessed for the rim or you will have headspace problems. Nice polished chamber after using this reamer.
