I have been using the scope for two weeks and it takes some getting use too. The optics are bright and clear; easily see 20 cal. holes at 300 yds. I have to remove my glasses to use the scope, something I don't have to do using their rifle scopes. A very comfortable scope for use at the shooting bench.

Awful scope and certainly ...

Awful scope and certainly not worth the price. I bought it because it had 75x magnification and I liked the extra magnification over the standard 60x most spotting scopes have. But this scope performance was marginal at best and Burris' quality control is very poor. First one arrived in a factory sealed box. It would not focus and loose items were rattling inside barrel. Shipped it back and asked Midway to check the next one before wasting their time and mine shipping it to me. They didn't. Second one arrived in a factory sealed box. It worked but eye relief was attrocious and optics were poor, blurry and very hard to get and maintain a sharp focus. It is not worth the effort. There are far better scopes available for the money.

Yes there are better scopes out there, but for the money this is pretty good.
I can read mirage at 750 yards with it and see very small holes, but the focus can be hard to achieve at higher powers. It won't compare to the clarity of higher end scopes, but at this price it is quite effective.

Decent optic for the price. Comes with a cheap mini tripod thats ok for the bench/hood of a car, but nothing else. Excellent magnification and compact design, but not the clearest or easiest to obtain picture. If all you have is $250 to spend than get it, if you have a bigger budget then go with something else for clarity.

I've had this instrument for several months now. Small bullet holes are very difficult to see at 100 yds. Color resolution is poor. It's almost the same shade of grey all the way across the image. Any magnification setting above 25x is useless. These shortcomings are only surpassed by the lack of rigidity of the included tripod. Forgetting this thing at home is less frustrating than trying to use it in the field. Generally, it's a piece of junk. My fault. I should have done more homework. A Burris rifle scope I have is quite good.

In short I have bought Burris products for 25 years. I recently bought a spotter from them. It was junk when it arrived, would not focus properly. Then would not work at all.I sent it to them as instructed. Asked for some help. CSR was not comfortable with making a decision so he referred to his supervisor. He assured me that all would be taken care of to my satisfaction. I explained to him that I was in a bad spot because I needed it for the State Championship which is now this weekend. Was three weeks out when this started.Then he disappeared from the face of the earth. I was trying to make a decision and just wanted some information. It was like I didn't exist. I spent $300 on a new scope (different brand-I wasn't born yesterday) as I had to have it for the tournament. Finally get a reply today. Scope will be here tomorrow. Spend your money wisely, obviously I did not.

It's okay for the money, I bought one about two years ago. You get what you pay for and this is no bargain. I shoot a lot of target matches and find the focus at higher magnifacations is hard to dial in. I wouldn't recommend this to a friend.

Great spotting scope, easy to focus, easy to maintain focus, like all great scopes with high magnification need a good solid platform. Burris scopes are definitely worth the money. People that complain are the ones that don't know how to run spotting scopes and are unfamiliar with the mode of operations, Amateurs at best. Way to go Burris. Thank You for such a wonderful product.

Used the scope from 25 years to 300 yards. I found it to work very well. Easy to adjust, plus nice field of view. If it is a warm day, you will see heat trails at high magnification. Like the size, easy to carry. So car I like it a lot.

I got tired using lower powered scopes at 300 to 500 yard ranges. This scope (as does a telescope) demands an ultra solid platform when using in 75x range. More than once have I been asked to "assist" other shooters. I am completely satisfied and have experienced no problems whatsoever - knock on wood.
