This trigger brings a whole new realm of accuracy to your Remington rifle. The housing is milled from solid steel. All working parts are CNC machined from solid steel with all contact and wear surfaces hardened, surface ground and polished. Trigger is fully adjustable from 1-1/2 to 4 lb. You can also adjust the pull to remove over-travel and creep. Fits Remington 700, 7, 40X, some XP100's, Models 721 and 722 (with ULA safety and bolt stop) as well 700 muzzleloaders. Requires the use of the factory safety and bolt stop.

I bought one each for my ...

I bought one each for my Model 700 and my Model 673. Installation was very straightforward and the time was about 20 minutes each, using just a punch and needle-nose pliers (and a die grinder for the 673 - see below). The fit for the 700 was exact, and I had to grind just a touch off the top front of the trigger mechanism to fit the 673. No clearance problems of any kind were otherwise encountered. The triggers are wider than stock with very fine ribs. The function is tight, crisp, creep-free, and factory set at 3 pounds (and they are at exactly 3 lbs., according to my trigger pull guage). They functioned flawlessly and the factory safeties mated right up to them, and functioned as they should. My avg. group size has been reduced because of these additions to my rifles. Great price, great item - BUY THEM!

I've had a Timney Trigger ...

I've had a Timney Trigger under my Remington 700 for 25 years. A part came loose, so I e-mailed Timney. They said just send it in, and we will repair or replace it. 10,000 rounds would be a conservative estimate of the number of rounds this trigger fired, it out lasted two barrels! Great product, great service.

Just installed this ...

Just installed this trigger on my Mil-Spec 5r. Installation was fairly easy. I would highly suggest downloading the installation instructions from the Timney website rather the using the instructions supplied in the package.This is the third Timney trigger that I've installed on my firearms. I can't imagine using anything else.

Good feel to the trigger ...

Good feel to the trigger itself, nice wide/flat trigger and has a nice clean break. I only gave 4 stars since I had to file the trigger mounting pin holes to get them to line up with my Remington 700 more than I thought should have been required. I am using my original Remington trigger's safety on it since I had problems with the Timney I bought. See my review of their safety for details.

Was easily installed and easily adjusted to a crisp pull and no over travel. Had to remove stock to make final adjustments after initial firing (this i did not like). Keep it clean and it is a fine trigger.

I cannot imagine not giving this product 5 stars. Super easy to install, super easy to adjust the trigger, and a super high quality product. I am not mechanically inclined at all, and it was a cinch to install. Timney triggers have one of the best reputations for precision triggers and now I can see they really made it easy for anyone to use their product.

Great trigger. Easy to install. Real solid feel. Someone below mentioned the trigger and sear as being cast? This piece is obviously not a cast piece but a EDM cut piece that has been heat treated and plated...VERY high quality. Best 100.00 I have spent on my rifle.

Great trigger! I ...

Great trigger! I installed it myself on a new 700 SPS Varmint, replacing the new X-Mark Pro trigger. Much better than stock with easy adjustment, no creep or overtravel. The only issue I ran into is that when replacing the newer X-Mark trigger, the safety doesn't completely transfer over to the Timney unit due to being a different design than the original Remington trigger. The parts that do transfer allow the safety to function but don't give a positive lock in either position. If you are replacing the X-Mark trigger, I would recommend either purchasing the Timney trigger with the safety already installed from the factory or purchase an aftermarket safety from Midway so you don't have to take the trigger back out later. Overall a great trigger, I would highly recommend it!
