I have been using the 3 lb trigger in my DPMS LR 308 (yes, it will work fine in the 308... don't know the reasoning behind Timney's "AR-10" trigger) for a couple weeks or so. I shoot pretty much every day, so I can say I have a good feel for this product and I rate it very highly. Of course ANY after-market trigger would have to be an improvement over the one from the factory, which feels like dragging a cinder block through gravel. But the Timney seems to me to be the perfect trigger for my rifle. I'm not a competition bench rest shooter. I intend to hunt East Texas hogs and deer with this rifle, but still I'm a stickler for accuracy and a good trigger makes a BIG difference from the bench or the blind. Some other reviews I read concerning the creep in the trigger made me hesitant to buy it, but the cost, the design, and the name over-rode my concerns. I am not at all disappointed. Although the trigger does have a small amount of creep, it is detectable only when dry-firing and paying very close attention. On sand bags, it's one of the best triggers I've had the opportunity to squeeze. I'm shooting sub-half inch groups at 100 yd... that says a lot about the complete rig, including the trigger. By the way, it's gotten smoother and crisper after breaking it in a little. It just "feels right" to me. Maybe some of the other shooters who gave it lower ratings got "lemons" or maybe their standards are much higher than mine, but I'm EXTREMELY pleased with my trigger, and would recommend it in a second to any potential buyer.

There is about an eighth of an inch creep in the trigger and it is not crisp at all. Felt very similar to my stock rifle triggers. I ordered the 3 pound pull and it comes in anywhere from 3 lb 11 oz to 4 lb 3 oz. The item arrived in a soft envelope and the package was smashed. I'm guessing the mechanisms were smashed causing the trigger to grind, creep and increasing the pull weight. I'm sending it back.

Installed this myself, which speaks to how easy it is. There are very good Youtube videos to follow if you want to make certain you are doing it correctly.

The trigger is perfectly smooth. Actually helps accuracy beyond 200yds by elimating pull. Put this on a rifle built for coyotes, and the results are obvious.

When first acclimating to the new trigger weight, be careful as it is possible to bump out a second shot.

Other than that, you will want one of these for every rifle you have.

Put this Timney 3lb trigger on my DPMS Oracle lower because I can't stand creepy triggers. The clean break it provided really improved the accuracy of the rifle. Inspired me to get a heavy 20" varmint barrel upper. Now I have two good platforms from one excellent trigger.

I installed this in 15 minutes, and headed out to the range. First time out I was so impressed, no creep, just over 3 lbs of pull and great reset. Came home cleaned the rifle, and put it up. Several weeks later, back at the range, loaded up a mag with AE 223 and squezzed of a round. Trigger failed to reset. Cycled the action with the charging handle, fired, double fire & failure to reset. Cycled the action again, double fire, no rest. This went on for the rest of a 30 rnd mag. I got bent out of shape and put the rifle up and shot other weapons for the rest of the day. Came home and re-read the directions. It states that it's "NOT" an adjustable trigger, but the directions state that if you get a double fire to loosen the jam nut and turn the set screw counter clockwise. I have ddone this and set it to the point that when sliding my and across the lowers edeges it locks in place. If you unscrew it to far it makes the trigger work almost like a fully auto rifle, with NO reset at all. This is a poor design for a supposedly "NON ADJUSTABLE" trigger. I'm going to try it out one more time this week-end and see if I can get any better results. I will have my stock trigger and the tools to switch them out on hand this time. If the results are the same I'll be looking at tradding this in on a Geissele or a Wilson Combat.

This to me was an investment, turning a 7.5 - to 3. pull in my bushmaster AR-15. The reason I say this is I have also changed the original stock to a Slide Fire stock (legal by the BATF) with this trigger & stock firing a 20 round mag.in a second and a half , make this comb an excellent match. Years ago we would have called it a hair trigger,that is what it is !! Thanks Midway &Timney.

I bought this trigger based on my experience with the Timney trigger I got for my 10/22. I think that we know what "most" factory triggers are like, and why so I won't go into detail about it. Suffice to say that this trigger is head and shoulders above any factory trigger. There is a tiny amount of creep which, is negligible, but I've only put 20 rounds on it at this point. Installation, is pretty straight forward. If you follow the directions, which are clear and easily understandable, you should have no issues. As to a previous review mentioning that it doesn't have enough force to detonate a #41 primer, There are no issues with anything I've loaded, or with LC NATO ammo I've purchased. (yes I use #41's for the ammo I load.)

I have used Timney triggers for years in my Remington MDL.700s and have had great success. Recently I bought a Barrett REC7, I love the weapon but like most AR platforms the triggers seem to need work. I got this Timney drop in, a true drop in. I had it installed in about 10 minutes and was shooting in about 15 (after a function check). The trigger performed like a dream. I like the fact that it is made in America as well. I would highly recommend this trigger.

What can i say about this ...

What can i say about this trigger, they say no creep but the one i got had consistant creep. After 140 rounds the set screw that holds the back locking mech. down worked its way loose and screwed up a three day hunting trip for me. I had to keep reseting it every 20 rounds. I called timney and they were a little rude and acted as if though it was my falt. The guy on the phone finally realized it was the set screw they set and said send it back and they were supposed to call me back on the matter and i haven't heard from them since. My thought is if you claim to best the best then back it with the best not with things that were not set right. Also how about some better customer support. Buyer beware!

Great trigger. Negligable creep and clean break. No worries on noted "creep" comments that have been posted with this one. As clean as any of adjustable bolt gun triggers I have. Glad I went w/ 3# trigger though. Looking forward to really seeing what my AR is capable of now.
