Excellent fit and operation

I got this for my Springfield Armory Mil Spec. I had to backorder the one I wanted.

This one is great and feels just like my Colt. Its as smooth as flicking on a light swith on the wall.

The original Springield Armory safety just wasnt gettin it. It was too hard/rough even after sending it to Springfield on their dime. Now its great. I also put in a Colt plunger spring assembly as well.

The parkerizing of Springfield and blue of the Colt look almost unoticeably the same. Its just about a complete match. I wasnt sure how I would like it but, I like it.

Great part for the price. Comfortable, well made, and seems just as durable as any other thumb safety I've used. Purchased two of these along with two Wilson sears for my Springfield Mil Specs. The safeties dropped right in and worked perfect with the old sears. With the new sears, the safeties required about 5min of fitting.

I ordered this part for my ATI GI. It was way to small, did not cover the hole in the frame. After I installed it there was a lot of play up and down. I will be sending it back and get the wilson part.

This is the late Colt combat style thumb safety. I fully expected to have to spend a lot of time fitting the safety to my original Mk IV Colt. However, in my case it was a direct drop-in fit. Very pleased with the overall quality and appearance of this MIM part.

I'm was very impressed with this thumb safety. I expected to have to spend quite a bit of time filing & fitting the safety. I was pleasantly surprised when I dropped it in and it worked perfect. Took me all of 5 min to install the safety.

Its a fine colt product, just not drop in ready. I have an XSE that I replaced the ambi on and I had to do a little polishing to be able to engage the safety easily.

Bought this for my Colt M1991 after a good experience installing a beavertail grip safety. It looks to be Metal Injection Molding (MIM) like my original thumb safety and matches perfectly. It wasn't exactly a drop in; I finally realized the original had some filing done on one surface (always look first!) and after some identical filing, testing, filing some more then a tiny bit more filing it fit well after about an hour. If I were to do this again the time would be drastically cut.
