Added some much needed weight (lead) to the hollow bottom and then silicone is all in place and it does not move around on the bench anymore. Easy to use and stable now. The stem could be a little longer but it works like it is.

Overall I haven't been as happy with the Hornady trickler as I was when I had borrowed an RCBS trickler. The Hornady trickler is more difficult to turn than the RCBS unit. The red knob is simply a rubber sleeve. Trickling is very inconsistent, sometimes dropping no granules, other times dropping a few at once.It is barely an improvement over tapping from a powder scoop.

Excellent trickler for max loads. Plastic housing, brass metering tube, rubber o-ring metering tube position holder/seal, & rubberish end cap/knob so no harmful metallic contamination transfer to the shell casing what-so-ever. Small volume cup seems appropriate in the event of a spill. I feel this is better than the Foster's heavier style design due to Hornady's choice of non-harmful materials. Examples of gun barrel bore harming materials are iron, steel, or aluminum that may transfer wear particulates into the shell casing along with the powder charge.

After reading other reviews here for this trickler I have to agree, it's very lite and I also added weight but I still have one small complaint...it needs to be slightly angled so you can use it with one hand. It sits flat on my perfectly flat bench and unless I pick it up and just tilt it slightly no powder will trickle out. I'm thinking about shaving the base to a slight angle and then it'll be perfect for my needs. Even still for the price compared to others it cannot be beat with a stick!

Great Product works excellent, one thing to keep in mind though is that it is plastic and is really light, IMO the heavier the trickler the easier time you will have to dial in those consistent numbers, other than the lightness, great product.

Horrible would be a understatement. This thing is made by cheap plastic, and more importantly, it does not work as advertised. Trickling is inconsistent, and the tube is very stiff.

I bought one of these hornady tricklers awhile back... I had nothing but problems with it. The powder flow was very inconsistent (not dribbling any powder then dumping a lot). It is made of a cheap feeling, very light weight plastic, and the O-rings tend so slip and spill all over the place.Save your money and buy a nice one.

This trickler does a fine job..However, it is very lightweight. Hard to use with one-hand. I finally sealed the bottom with some lead shot in the hollow base.Works fine!

I purchased this trickler at the same time I purchased my Hornady powder scale. It is extremely lightweight and absolutely has to be used with two hands. The powder bar itself fits very tightly into the trickler, and requires an unnecessary amount of force to turn it. The rubber O-ring on the front also shows a tendency to push out of the trickler resulting in spilled powder. The Redding trickler is by far the best trickler I've seen.
