Been Reloading for some ...

Been Reloading for some time now and have RCBS for my .308 and after reading reviews for this type Lee die, Decided to try it out. As I use LAPUA brass I don't skimp on reloading equipment, but these dies are TERRIBLE. They actually shortened my shell cases so bad that I may not be able to load them. Right now I am putting them thru my RCBS dies and it is getting them closer to 2.005 then with the LEE dies. Going to return these tommorrow. Shame I have to give 1 star.

I had someone talk me into getting the 7mm Collet dies, best thing that ever happened. Now I've been buying them for almost every caliber. They are suppose to be good for only bolt and lever action type rifles but there are several times I have bent the mouth on a casing after resizing, cleaning and polishing and only want to fix that and these are great for that as well.

If you have a bolt action ...

If you have a bolt action rifle in any of the calibers lee sells collet dies for, buy a set. not only will they load more accurate ammo than full length size dies, but cases last long enough that money saved on brass pays for the dies. Lee does not recommend them for semi auto or lever action rifles, but i have a Mini 14 and it shoots neck sized ammo without a jam yet. These dies are the best yet.

I have used the Lee neck sizer die for 7.5mm Swiss and 7mm Rem Mag with excellent results, often shooting one hole groups at 100 yds. Easy to use, often requiring no case trimming. No bolt action rifle reloader should be without a set.

Lee claims these dies will load the most accurate ammo you have ever produced... I was skeptical until I started shooting 1/4" groups at 100 yds - amazing! And the ability to size brass without any lube is icing on the cake. Take a little getting used to, since there's no "dragging" the case through the die. Love these things - will be ordering a set for all my other bolt gun calibers in the near future. Very satisfied!!!

Neck sizing works OK ...

Neck sizing works OK saves stress on the case. Had to remove the lock ring to gain threads for making adjustments to a older NON Lee Press. Adjusted to fit press. Bullet seating Die has issues when using cast bullets, needed to modify die for use with cast bullets. Keep your non lee seating die at hand.

I bought the Lee neck sizer for 308 and 257 Roberts. They just didn't work at all for me. I case just slipped in and out without resizing the neck. Recently, I had to send a full size 257 die back to lee because I couldn't get neck tension. I'm not impressed with Lee dies at all. Their other equipment works really well. I do have a Lee pacesetter die set in 308 that works fine but I had to return several Lee dies recently. Midway is great as always about returning items.
