The American Defense Magnifier Swing Mount allows you to easily and quickly move your magnifier out of the way for an unmagnified view. This mount is precision machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and has a hard coat anodized finish. It features the QD Auto Lock Lever System for easy installation and removal. The AD-SM-02 is designed for co-witness.

This is an update to my previous review. The ring with your magnifier mounted does rotate a full 180 degrees and reseat in the angled groove so you are looking at the 30MM end. That presents several issues. First, the angle of the ring arm causes the magnifier to start dropping as soon as you start to rotate it out of the way. On my set up the magnifier (Burris AR-Tripler) hung up on my rear BUIS (.465 high low profile). Just to check any other issues I set the unit on the rail with the magnifier rotated to the forward position. The focus end of the magnifier did clear my EOTech 512 but was also positioned directly over and even with the top of the ejection port. As I said in my previous review this may work on your rig but will not work on mine.

Although this is a high quality American Defense product it is NOT a FTS (flip to side) mount as you would normally expect. The one piece ring/arm is held down into the angled slot by spring tension. To move the magnifier out of the way you would push on the eye piece end of the magnifier. The arm pivots up out of the angled slot while rotating. There is no positive stop to hold the magnifier after rotating it and the eye piece end is left sticking out to the left or right side of your weapon, depending on which direction you mount the base. I guess you could keep rotating around until the magnifier hits your sight and you are looking at the front lens. It definitely is a different concept but not one that I can use on my rig. Your mileage may differ. I did not want to risk scratching the mount and making it nonreturnable by actually mounting my magnifier and seeing how far it would rotate to the front. I will return it and will use a QD ring until I find a FST mount.
