This is an awesome AMERICAN made quad rail. I got mine today as a gift and it was installed in under 2 minutes. It bolts up ROCK solid with zero movement. The unit came with two Allan wrenches and two extra bolts. I tightened them in a cross pattern until each bolt "clicked" twice. I mounted my bi-pod and gave it a once through...30 rounds down range and still as tight as it can be. Heat dissipation from the barrel was excellent and the rail covers snapped right into place. It does have two drilled and tapped holes in the top rail and two drilled UN-tapped holes in the bottom rail. I contacted UTG about the use of these holes and was informed that the two on the bottom will accept a QD sling swivel and the two on top were for "attachments for specific clientele" but they did tell me the holes are tapped to a 5/16x24 tpi thread pattern. Again to sum it up...absolutely AWESOME product that will not break the bank. Way to Go Midway!

I ordered this hand guard because it is US made, under the impression that it was a drop in replacement. Before delivery a I watched a You Tube video of a gentleman installing one. After watching the video I saw it is NOT a drop in replacement as described, you have to use screws to make it secure holding it securely to the forward ring. Now this might not be an issue with most, but I was looking for a DROP IN replacement.
I sent it back and got the Yankee Hill. My disappoint isn't with UTG, it is with Midway. I would think a better description of the product, and installation procedures would be better. I hope this helps, and stay safe.

Fits perfectly on my Windham SRC and is absolutely rock solid. As another buyer pointed out it's not technically a drop-in replacement but installation took less than 5 minutes and required nothing more than a hex key (included). Comes with a dozen rail cover sections which are difficult to get on and off. That's a good thing, not a complaint, as there is zero chance of them coming off unintentionally.

I replaced the standard forestock on my DPMS AP-4 with this two piece quad rail and it fits perfectly. There's no sloppiness or mis-alignment issues with this unit and the price is right.

Even if you're not on a budget, this is a great quad rail, and you get a lot for your money. First off, it's AMERICAN MADE (for those of us that still appreciate and take pride in such things). Second, it locks up tight, no wobble. The finish is great, they include extra screws, and rail covers (large but usable).
I've used numerous brands (Daniel Defense, YHM, etc), and without a doubt you're getting more for your money. Unless you are in need of a free float or continuous top rail, this will suit all of your needs. HOPEFULLY, these will stay economically priced because I plan on using them again for future AR builds.
Good job on these Midway.

Love this thing. Weighs under a pound without the covers attached. Mounted a UTG handle on it. Using it conjuction with a low profile gas block. I'll need to re-index my barrel nut so that it lines up on the same plane as the flat top upper I used for my M4 style AR build. Easy to install, great quality and a low price. Looks great on my 16in barreled AR with the low profile gas block. Sturdy and easy to install.

Outstanding quad rail if you don't need a free floated one. Easy job to install. Once attached it is free of any movement. Finish is extremely nice. I would not hestitate to buy another one for my next AR-15 upper build project.

Even I was surprise by the quality of the UTG handgaurd; installation was a no brainer; not to mention makes my MP-15 model A look a couple hundred dollars more expensive. There are some two very small cons, one is the UTG handguard is a bit more heavier than what I was expecting. The other one is the ugly bulky rail covers it comes with; I glad I bought this but I would recommend you buy some ladder rail covers when getting this.
