The black one fit no problem. The red still can't get to fit right and work. I have trimmed so much off. Just not worth it. They need to think redesign.

This product functions very well. I shoot +P+ loads with a heavier weight recoil spring and the Cominolli frame saver guide rod provides the extra protection for my 1911 frame that gives me peace of mind.

This would be a really good idea if it worked. The buffers themselves have to be trimmed to allow free movement inside the gun. The red outside buffer is extemely hard to install. Redesign the buffers!!

Great idea and concept, BUT if you have a tight fitting match quality gun as I do, you'll run into a snag. The buffers supplied are much too big and create enough tension on the slide that you'll have to grasp the entire front of the slide when you cock the gun, which can be dangerous. I'd bet if you have the typical loose fitting production gun, that it would probably work OK. You could always trim the bushings I guess, BUT then you risk having it come apart whilst shooting. To me, it seems like the hole is to small in the red bushing, and when you install it, the center shaft pushes the bushing out on all sides and it overhangs the guide rod head quite a bit. If you order one of these, make sure and also order some extra bushings, just in case.
