As the muzzle end of the barrel is the last place to see the exit of the bullet, it is important to keep this area free from harm. When placed over the muzzle, these guides allow cleaning rods to go straight into the barrel while protecting the muzzle area. The rod passes thru an oilite bushing which is pressed into the Delrin body. The Dewey Delrin Muzzle Bore Guides can be used with all types of cleaning rods. Some models have milled cuts to allow for sight clearance. Designed for the year-round shooter.
Special Note: Ruger made a change in the front sight and barrel band sometime in 2005, resulting in a larger band diameter. This bore guide will not fit these newer Mini-14 rifles. The new model is a Mini-14/5, series 580.
Material: Delrin with Orelite bushing
This will not work with Mini-14's that have a serial number of 580 or newer. Ruger changed the barrel band and front assembly in October 2005
Designed to keep cleaning rod centered in bore and protect the barrel crown when it is not possible to clean the firearm
from the breech.
Can be used with coated and non-coated cleaning rods.
These guides are firearm-specific and may have milled cuts to allow for sight clearance.
