Great bullet for North American Game. Just right for a great big black Nelgai bull in So. Texas. Too lightly constructed for Dangerous game. A friend and I shared a very hard Cape Buffalo Safari in Tanzania, our iron sighted doubles wrong for the open conditions, and wild and wise buffalos. So my buddy (who is a competent game shot) borrowed a scoped .416 Rem. using this bullet and wacked one in the center of the chest facing him at about 125 yds. Only shot we got in the whole 10 day Safari. We (and our PH's) think the bullet blew up on the front gristle plate. We could see the skin pooch up off the chest. There was a little watery blood, and after two days of tracking, the bull was well enough to rejoin the heard. If he was not well, the other bulls would have run him out.

I shoot these bullets out ...

I shoot these bullets out of a custom single shot rifle I built out of a savage action with a 26 inch bull barrel chambered in 416 rem. With a healthy dose of Blc-2 they achieve almost 2400fps and recoil is manageable (the heavy barrel also contributes to less recoil.) 3 shot 1" groups at 100 yards are easily achievable. Bullets I recovered only expanded to the cannalure but spit out its lead core. The base of the jacket from the cannalure back is about 5x thicker than the front of the jacket so the base will stay intact through just about anything. Not necessarily a dangerous game bullet but I'm sure it can handle any non dangerous game there is.

Sub MOA performance in my Weatherby Mark V DGR in .416 Weatherby Magnum using Norma brass and Reloder 22. Bullets are inexpensive and hold together well. Good product!

Shot well out of my 416 weatherby,1.5 and under groups. I was using 7828 and CCI 250 primers. Weighed about 1/2 the box and they all seemed right on at 400 grns. haven't hunted with them yet, but sure they will do!!

They are cheap.The best groups I can get is 2" when other bullets give 1"They expand faster than the newer FN Hornady so they could be good for light game.

Although I've yet to shoot anything more dangerous than a piece of paper with these, I can say that they feed slicker through my Model 70 than any other bullet that I have tried. Barnes flat noses hang just a little and factory ammo with Noslers sometimes jam. Following published load data and using a Pact chronograph(from Midway) velocities are right on the money without cramming the cases of my .416 Rem. too much. Fmj Hornadys act the same.

Loaded to 2400 FPS with IMP 7828, I managed four shots within 1" at 50 yds from my 416 Rigby, and that was my first time ever with the caliber. I can only see the group becoming tighter as I get used to the recoil. Good value, and I'll give the 5th star when I see what it does to big game.

I recently used this bullet on a bison hunt in Montana. Chambering was a .416 wildcat at 2350 fps. At 125 yds the bullet went through and through with an exit wound as big as my thumb. It was a one shot kill on a 1400lb animal. Great bullet. Great accuracy.

Great accuracy and excellent performance. Tested rounds on various media and I got great expansion and penetration, (Way better performance than most "premium" bullets). Elk, complete length wise pass through w/ great expansion.
