I gave this five stars because of its superior powder fouling removal over regular bore cleaners. I ran Butch's and CR-10 down the bore for half an hour. The patches came out clean. Then I ran Bore Tech C4 down the bore on a patch. Soaked a brush in it and scrubbed the bore. Let it sit for a minute. Then I ran several patches down the bore. They came out BLACK! This stuff got what the other bore cleaners left on the bore! In terms of powder fouling removal, the only thing better in my opinion is bore paste which is a lot more messy to use. This product also seems to remove copper but not aggressively. Be cautious of brass jags with this product. They may give a false positive for copper. Overall this is a great product for carbon removal. Bore paste is the ultimate in scrubbing, but this is a very close second and much cleaner to use.

This product removed all of the carbon buildup from the face of my stainless steel revolver's cylinder with little effort and no foul smell. I'd certainly buy it again.
