I bought to practice trigger pull on 1911, after no more than 50 trigger pulls or so on each of the first two snap caps they failed.

I ordered these in 45ACP. I do dry fire practice with SA 1911. I have to keep and unsharpened pencil with the snap caps cause they will chamber and ejecter arm will not eject the round consistently. Actually I can only use four of the five. One of them is so far out of spec that it will never function! I also tried in a Kimber with same results.

They work well in my HK ...

They work well in my HK but you have to feed them through a magazine in my FNP; you drop it in the chamber and let the slide go and it will be stuck in the chamber which requires a dowel or cleaning rod to remove. The head space on the plastic cartridge is a little short like it was designed for a GAP. The way they work using the brass primer and the spring setup is nice, as stated in another review you can see that it is taking the hit of the firing pin and saving the wear on the internals. I would recommend them as long as you are aware of the above problem.

Excellent product, I use them to practice trigger pulls and general training. Only complaint is that after hundreds of hammer drops the indent carved by the firing pin gets pretty deep. Not really a complaint since it shows that the snap-cap really is protecting the firing pin, and it does take hundreds of "shots" to show real wear. The brass base does get scratched up from cycling but that has not caused any feed problems as yet.

I bought the snap caps in .45 cal. I have used them in 2 different 45 models, and they functioned just like real cartridges. No feed jams, or extraction problems, the perfect way to teach weapon safety, and disarming classes, with live weapons.
