Pachmayr Gripper grips are made from a specially formulated rubber compound which optimizes control and recoil absorption. The finger groove style is popular for combat shooting and hunting. A covered backstrap and slight palm swell fills the hand but is not so large as to be uncomfortable. Gripper grips are fully checkered for appearance as well as for control. Black.

This grip is awesome. I bought the GP100 with Hogue grip, switched to old style with inlays. This grip looks good and provides support where needed for shooting. It's a keeper.

I use these grips on a GP100 6". I find it to have more control with heavy loads than I do with the factory grips. But I agree, they need to do something with the seem in the front of the grips.

These grips are very comfortable, much more so than the stock Ruger grip. The only thing that keeps them from me giving them 5 stars is that there is a BAD seam running down the front of the grips where the two sides come together. The instructions say to super-glue the seam closed!

These are highly serviceable, secure grips on my gray stainless GP100. A bit slimmer than the factory grips -- good for a woman or a smaller man. They are definitely more attractive than the relatively homely stock GP100 grip, with its square rubber butt and wood inserts. However, credit where due. Like everything else Ruger does with its revolvers, those stock grips serve a purpose -- cushioning heavy recoil -- and they are very good at it. The stock grips do somewhat outperform these Pachmayr grips with hot .357 loads. But since I shoot medium .357s and .38+Ps in my GP100, these grips work nicely for me.

Pros & cons to this model. I've tried all four rubber grips for the GP100 - the two from Hogue, the original factory grips with rosewood inserts, and this Pachmayr. (I'm excluding the pricey $270 Crimson Trace btw.) In my opinion, the Pachmayr is the most ergonomical and easiest to control (with light loads). Agreed, the seam in the front is annoying, but superglue it and trim off the overlap and it's 100% better. The original factory grips with rosewood inserts are the sturdiest (a la metal cylinder attached inside), but they are too wide and those wood insert are too slick for a steady grip. The Pachmayr is definitely better than either the new factory Hogue (with it's annoying nub that cuts into your palm) and the Hogue Tamer (way too flimsy for a solid grip). Maybe manufacturers should acknowledge the high popularity of this gun and offer some more styles of grips...
