I have been reloading for ...

I have been reloading for 15 years and have bought dies from all the manufacturers and continually find the Redding brand to be superior in quality and craftsmanship. Just unpacking a set of Redding dies shows the quality put into this product. Over the years I have been selling my other brand dies and replacing them with Redding and have not looked back. Redding may cost a few dollars more than some others, but you get what you pay for.

Love the seating die, the sizer is not good. Every single case stuck, only got to #6 until I had the rim come of on one. Cases were properly lubed with Cabela's spray lube. Redding offered to fix it if I paid shipping both ways, and is sending a sample of their own special lube which supposedly works much better. Guy on the phone gave me the impression that this is a common problem with spray lubes, and I can vouch for that because the same thing happened on the f. L. Redding sizer I bought for 308. I declined sending the die in, bought an RCBS set and have had no problems after 100+ casings sized. I am still using the Redding seating die.

Sizing die is under sized. Two stuck shells out of 20. I really love every Redding die I own, but this one is bad. Redding makes great dies. I have 6 others.

I am very pleased with these dies. Excellent quality and craftsmanship. I use these dies with a Forster Co-Ax press and recommend buying Forster crossbolt rings for use with these dies for better stability in the press but the redding rings also work. I own Forster dies for .243 and 30-06 but I think the deprime and neck expander are stronger on the Redding dies. I recommend a Lee depecapping die for military crimped brass. I will by more Redding dies in the future.

The internal resizing mandrel on this die is garbage. It comes loose and requires attention constantly. Lee is a much better choice for volume reloading.

I have used dies for 40 years and nothing compares to quality and function like the new redding dies have recently purchased 223, 7mm08, 30-06 and 308 units all are superior to any other brand I have used.

Upgraded from a set of RCBS small base .223 dies that were pushing back the shoulder and causing stuck cases in my AR's.The quality of the Redding die sets can not be overstated. They are just as good as my Dillon carbide rifle dies and pistol dies.Full length sizer in this set made my AR's function like factory ammo with my 50 grain prairie dog loads.Excellent die set!!

Bought this set based on reviews. Very well-built dies on the outside, but the sizing die was completely worn out after doing about a 1000 cases which took me by surprise. I'm gonna try the cheap Lees this time.
