Product Information

The Barnes Tipped TSX features a 100-percent copper body with rings cut into the shank. A polymer tip boosts the ballistic coefficient, improves long-range ballistics and provides fast expansion. The four razor sharp cutting petals double the bullet diameter making delivering "dead right there" performance.

These revolutionary bullets from Barnes are made of 100% copper and contain no lead. Barnes recommends initially seating bullets 0.050" off the lands. Best accuracy will be found from 0.030" to 0.070" depending on the rifle. This is not loaded ammunition.

Superb! I shoot these ...

Superb! I shoot these over Superformance powder at over 3700 fps with MOA or better accuracy from my Browning A-Bolt Varmint Stalker in 243WSSM. Zero'd at 50 yards, this combination will impact +/- 2" from point of aim. I killed two deer with this combination this fall: one at 80 yards and the other at 30 yards. The 80-yard shot made a caliber size entrance and exit hole, but took out a fist size (5 ribs bones wide) hole going in, 6" of spinal cord, and made a 1" exit hole. The 30-yard shot broke both front shoulders and cut the heart in half. Entrance wound was over an inch. Unlike lead-core rounds, the TTSX can stand up to these extreme velocities and still punch through both sides. Strongly recommend this bullet!!

Ridiculously accurate ...

Ridiculously accurate bullet out of my Tikka T3 Lite Stainless. Over a charge of Ramshot Hunter, this bullet yielded a 3-shot, 100 yard group measuring .294"using On-Target group measuring software. Average velocity over that string was 3,225 fps. I have already used the TTSX in 7mm to take a Nebraska whitetail with excellent terminal performance (complete pass-through), so I know the design works great on game. Now it's time to put the .243 version to work.

I picked this bullet to use in my 240 Wby.I was able to obtain groups at 100yards around 1"for 3 shots.I have only shot one deer with this load.Bullet performance was excellent. Complete pass through at a distance of 80yards.Exit wound was the size of a quarter.Deer went straight down. lots of damage to vitals.I will continue to use this bullet on medium size game.

This bullet flat kills things, I am having trouble getting rid of all of my other bullets in this caliber. I will never shoot another brand of bullets. Got hooked on them when CT quit making fail safe bullets for my 338, now I load them for the 338, 30-06, 300win mag and the 243 as well as 7mm for my brother. The last 4 times I have pulled the trigger on the 243 it has dropped what I was shooting at, 1 deer went about 5 feet. ranges of 50 to 385 yards with no trouble. I have never found one of these bullets used on game including a long distance elk shot with the 300. Massive damage 1st shot.

These have proved to sizzle out of my 240 Weatherby. Getting slightly less than half inch groups from a factory 9-Lug MkV using Fed 210M primers and IMR-4350.

A quick note for those of you who still shoot slow 1 in 12 twist 6mm and are wondering if this bullet will stabilize, Yes it does, and it's squirting out at 3450 FPS, with 1/2 in groups.

I used this bullet in taking my reloading to the next level. I used tools to precisely measure the distance of the bullet ogive to the lands. I used Barn's suggested distance. My first load attempt yielded 3 shots in the same hole and a fourth just touching that hole. I've never had results anywhere close to this with my other go-to lead core bullets. Next....performance on Antelope this year!

These are without a doubt the best bullet made to hunt big game with any rifle in the 6mm lineup. I'm a huge fan of the Accubond but they don't make one in 6mm hint hint... Anyways, after carefully following Barnes instructions these shot great. It took a few loads to really get them accurate but my .243 loves these now. Besides the accuracy these do great on game. I shot an antelope with a Barnes TSX in Wyoming and the follow up shot revealed a perfect X coming out the fine white hair on the bottom of his chest it was AWESOME. Try some RL19 it worked best for me. I got mine 3 shots under 1/2" @ 200 yds. I can't promise they'll shoot this good but mine do when I'm holding steady. FOLLOW BARNES INSTRUCTIONS!!! If you load these like a Berger or a Nosler you could get a bad taste for Barnes. Good Luck hope this helps!

Excellent bullet. In my Remington 700 VS using Varget powder and CCI200 primers I was able to obtain Hole-in-Hole shot groups at 100 yards. Muzzle velocities ran on average 3220/fps. I will be using this load on Wild Hogs this Spring. Most accurate 243 bullet I have ever loaded. Keep up the good work BARNES!
