Great and accurate ...

Great and accurate bullets, does shoot straight and easy to load, very deadly even if 100gr of powder is used. Will even shoot out of a long barrel muzzle loader.

The performance of these ...

The performance of these bullets on game is miserable. Low sectional density, pure lead, high velocity, no jacket equals grenade type performance without adequate penetration. Deer #1 this year was a 160 class whitetail buck at 30 yards. Triple 7 in a CVA Magbolt 150. I watched the bullet impact on the shoulder as my 14 year son fired. This deer ran off dragging a front leg. After trailing the blood trail for 610 yards in the snow the trail was lost in a marsh. The second deer this year was about a 150 lb doe at 75 yards. The load Triple 7 in an Omega. The shot blew hair from right behind the shoulder. This doe ran 400 yards leaving a dark red blood trail into a private reserve. Third deer was actually recovered. This was a very large gray faced whitetail doe. Shot placement was high in the chest at the level of the spine. She dropped instantly, however, was still kicking and flopping around to the point where a knife wasn't enough to finish her. After a neck shot she was finished. The first bullet was found in hundreds of fragments in the very front portion of a backstrap and had failed to penetrate the spine. The neck shot looked like a grenade had gone off...similar to the remnants of a prairie dog after meeting a 40 grain launched from a 22-250. Another doe shot at 125 yards with a shoulder shot ran off dragging a front leg. A lucky follow up shot to the head put this doe down. The first shot stopped on the shoulder blade in multiple fragments without making it into the chest cavity. Another large buck, a cull with a single 6 point antler, was squarely hit in the shoulder and sent down instantly. On approach the buck jumped up and ran for over 2 miles before it was recovered. The only one shot kill this year was a 65 lb fawn shot through the high lungs quartering toward the shooter. This bullet failed to exit and was found expanded to over an inch and penetrated only 9" through a doe the size of a Labrador retriever. This is the first and last season we will ev

I have yet to take a deer with these but I have shot them sighting in my gun and I will have to say super easy to load in a tc pro hunter xt. I can't wait to see how they do on whitetails.

I've used this Powerbelts and they group excellent. As far as deer go, Ive killed 5 with them & never had a one to take another step. Dropped them cold. I will use only Powerbelts. Can't ask for any better bullet IMHO.

I have been using Powerbelts for years now & they are the best muzzloading bullet one can buy. Every deer Ive shot with these bullets had dropped in their tracks & they shoot tighter groups than any other muzzloader bullet on the market. I wouldn't have a muzzloader if I couldn't use my Powerbelts.

Ive taken 8 maybe 9 deer with this bullet. All of them one shot kills. Only one deer got out of sight and she didn't leave a blood trail. But the rest sprayed more blood than you could imagine. My father has had a good success with them too, the last one he shot didn't leave any blood for about 50 yards but didn't go more than 75.

I have found this Aero Tip bullet to be sub standard as far as killing power on Whitetails. I have lost two deer in the early black powder season here in Pa. The second deer dropped like a rock, however when I approached the deer she managed to get up and run with very little blood trail. Rain washed any hope of finding the deer. I have gone back to using Horady 240 grain XTP bullets and have yet to lose a deer. I have found the sport stores are usually sold out of the Powerbelt hollow points but have plenty of the Aero tips for sale. That in itself should have told me that these bullets are not popular.

I have used these for 5 or so years now and will never use anything else! I was a sniper with the US Army until I was disabled by an IED in Iraq. I have taken deer at well over 250 meters using 90 grains of pyrodex pellets and these rounds. I am a great tracker but so far all I have had to do is go where the deer was standing and look around and the deer would be within 10 meters or less. I hope powerbelt never tries to improve on this one because it is perfect now!

wow! nice - a lot of people seemed to dog these powerbelts, but out of my encore I'm getting 0.8" groups at 100 with Pyrodex pellets, going to try some 777 flakes - to tweak the group - but does shoot and load very nice - I also fired a Barnes TMZ spitfire (sabot) [with same load] which had a large drop at 100 yards relative to these powerbelts - so they seem to be shooting pretty flat as compared to that particular round (Barnes tmz)

Been using this bullet for 4yrs now. Using 777 powder out of my 12yr old Knight muzzleloader I can consistently shoot a 1.25" groups at 100 yds. I run a wet patch and a dry patch through after every shot. With a 100 yd zero it hits 2" high at 50yds.
