Have had Leupold 1pc.base ...

Have had Leupold 1pc.base and Leupold med. rings on my Savage .270 for 4 years every time I take it out for a tune up it's dead on, will be putting same setup on my Rem.700 30-06 very soon.

With one of my rifles, I ...

With one of my rifles, I could not get on target at 100 yds-I was 7" low and all my elevation was used up. Thinking it was a defective scope, I was about to send the scope back to the factory when I learned of this base. After mounting, I was able to get my 100 yd zero and still have plenty of elevation left. If you are depending on your target knobs for elevation adjustment, you simply cannot do without this LR base. It buys you precious MOA that you will need at long ranges.

I do a lot of shooting @ ...

I do a lot of shooting @ 1000yds and this gave me the extra moa that I needed. I installed it on a Sendero 25-06 with a Leupold 12x with only 52 moa, after the installation I now have 76 moa. I was really surprised because there was only .017 (plus the slope) difference between the Long Range base and the standard two-piece.
