Berger's Target VLD bullets are the perfect bullet for the reloader looking for great performing, consistent, accurate long range bullets. The VLD design gives these bullets the highest possible ballistic coefficient meaning they will be less affected by wind and will typically shoot flatter than flat base bullets of the same weight. Target bullets are designed primarily for target shooting but are also effective on larger varmints. This is not loaded ammunition.

Absolute FANTASTIC bullet ...

Absolute FANTASTIC bullet for targets or game in my 7mm Rem Mag! I am shooting reloads (F215M, Retumbo) at 3015 fps/3400 fpe with phenomenal accuracy. I use a Stoney point gauge with a modified case. I seat the bullet .020" off the lands. I shot several pieces of AK game with this load including a monster Billy goat (goats are tough as concrete). All game looked as if it was stuck by lightning and there was no tracking job! I like the target bullet as the jacket is thicker than the hunting version so meat damage is mitigated.

I have used 168 grain ...

I have used 168 grain Bergers for years. All the packs I have received weighed 168 grains +/- .1 and most were right on 168. I have a custom built .284 Winchester that I load Reloader 17 with these bullets and they are SUPER accurate. I am holding .16 MOA at 100 yds with a 5 round group. My 600 yard benchrest groups on an average day are around 1"-2" 5 round groups. In my factory 7mm Rem Mag Savage these bullets were consistently holding a 3" 5 round group at 600 yds. These bullets do not properly stabilize until about 300 yards in most guns.

Bergers are the best I ...

Bergers are the best I have tried. Extremely accurate at long range and really do a number on deer. Shot a deer last week at 580 yards and it performed perfect and just as advertised. I have no intentions of ever buying any other kind of bullet as long as they continue making Bergers cause NOTHING walks away from a BERGER.

The old Moly Coated vld ...

The old Moly Coated vld were excellent even for hunting deer. I never once had one shed the jacket or lost a deer with these bullets. I went to replenish my stock and see that they are discontinued. Ive been using Berger bullets way back when you had to order them from the factory due to the fact of the unknown popularity.
