Saves the hand

I have had several Pachmayr grips on all types of pistols, one on my orginal TC Contender 30+ years old. Much better than the factory wood grips, tames the bite of some of the more powerful calibers, and sticks to the side of your pant leg, if you are shooting Creedmore.

Don't get this if you ...

Don't get this if you want to mount a bipod. After tightning down bipod on the forearm; in the middle of forearm was bent down between the forearm screws!!

The grip requires a ...

The grip requires a larger hand than the T/C factory walnut grip. It fits my hand well, but shooters with smaller hands will likely find this a poor fit. The fore end is a very dark blue in color while the grip is black. The fore end has a different style of checkering than the grip. I'm disappointed that Pachmayr failed to do a better job of matching the appearance of the fore end and the grip. If one doesn't care about these appearance trivialities, this is a good addition to your G2.

Although the T/C rubber ...

Although the T/C rubber grip and forend work just fine, I have always used the Pachmayr grip and forend with my original Contenders so I decided to give the G2 set a try. The G2 grip and forend are similar to the original Contender (by Pachmayr), but include the swivel on both grip and forend. I like that a lot. Also, the G2 forend does not use a hanger bar. Comparing to the stock T/C grip, the Pachmayr grip is a bit shorter and wider. It fits my hand better particularly because I can reach the trigger without stretching unnaturally. The Pachmayr set is considerably heavier than the stock T/C set. I wish it was lighter, but it does reduce felt recoil a little. Best of all, it still fits in my Uncle Mikes soft holster.

Excellent product that does what the manufacture says. Absorbs recoil better than factory grips and provides sling attachment for hunting.
