Product Information

Nosler Custom Brass was developed to complement their line of custom bullets. Each lot is weight-sorted to provide consistent measurements and capacities for accurate loads and features a Nosler head-stamp. Before shipment, Nosler chamfers and deburrs the case mouths and deburrs the flash hole. Fully prepped and ready to load upon receipt, each piece of brass offers consistency in trimmed length and neck wall thickness. This brass is new and unprimed. This is not loaded ammunition.

This brass is OK, but ...

This brass is OK, but probably not worth the price at the moment. My reason for saying this is that I bought 100 cases of Nosler Custom in 300 Winchester Magnum. Of those 100 cases from the same batch, the belted part of the case was NOT uniform in thickness. I use a Redding shell holder, and about 25% of the cases we tight going into the shell holder, and I didn't understand what that meant: It meant that the completed rounds would not chamber in my rifle... a TRG-42. I have NEVER had this problem with Norma, RWS, Winchester, Hornady, or Remington Brass. Given the price, I really can't recommend a company with poor quality control. There is no excuse for a lack of uniformatity of the size of the belt when you charge this much.

I use this brass for ...

I use this brass for competition and it is very consistent from case to case. Out of the box case neck run-out was between .000 and .003, and a few in the .005-.008. Once fire formed, there was no run-out. My first loading I did not size, and it functioned flawlessly. I have 300 cases between 3 lots, and they all are consistent in weight and thickness. The only complaint I have is that the lot #'s are located on the inside of the sealed box. Would highly recommend this product.

I am a competitive 1000 ...

I am a competitive 1000 yd. benchrest shooter and as such I require quality componets. I was skeptical at first but was surprized when i received this product. The Nosler brass appears to be on par with that of Norma and Lapua. Had I been loading for a .300 Win. Mag. I think all that I would have had to do would be to add primers, powder, and bullrts. The cases came allready full length sized, chamfered, and debured. The thickness of the brass especially in the neck area are very consistent. All current indications are that the Nosler brass will hold up as well as the more expensive Norma and Lapua.
