The optics give a very ...

The optics give a very bright, clear image. The lower magnification is perfect for use in heavy cover or deep woods use. The clarity it provides enables me to sight on the target without using glasses. For us middle aged hunters who wear bifocals this is a huge benefit. I purchased this scope as an experiment to use on my favorite "brush gun". Because of the scope's shorter overall length, I had to slightly modify the base mount for my Marlin Model 375. I anticipated this due to using basically a shotgun scope on a lever action rifle. Performance wise, it works beautifully. It's quick to mount, gets you on target quickly, and as mentioned above, gives an outstanding view at either end of the magnifications. I highly recommend this scope and will probably purchase another for my other "brush gun".

I purchased one of thes scopes for my Ruger 96/44. It suited the gun well and at 1X, the target acquisition was awesome! The following year I took the gun to the range and the POI had moved 4 inches to the right. Oh well, stuff happens. Well, what happened is the reticle is loose and rattling around inside the scope. I called Bushnell and was told that although the scope is warranteed, I have to pay shipping both ways in advance and if they feel the failure is covered by the warranty, they will fix it for free. If not, tough luck. Not real happy. I put a Leupold on the gun and moved on.

Perfect scope for my 10-22. 1x for flushing jackrabbits and 4x for ground squirels at longer ranges. Glass is clear at all power settings. Love the heavy cross hairs with the circle at the center easy to use when flushing game and the circle gives you finer aiming at longer ranges.

Scope is worth the $$, which is not very much. The distortion at 1.5x power for the outer half of the viewing lens is so pronounced it's like looking through a fish-eye photo lens. Objects actually bend near the edges. Moving the scope quickly across a field of view is thus confusing and almost impossible to view properly with both eyes open. This defeats the purpose of having a low power variable scope.Other features/benefits of the scope are as listed, and the reticle is pretty good for fast shooting. It's a .22 plinker scope IMO, but I will be looking for something else with no distortion at the lowest power.

Had this scope about a year and a half now and so far has been great for what I put it on, my Marlin 1894 .357 magnum carbine. Not big or heavy and the circle plex reticle is great because the circle is just the right size for quick shots and the cross hairs inside the circle are nice and fine for easy accuracy. Since it is a cheap scope, it is not a true 1 power with both eyes open, and on mine I see some edge distortion, like a fish bowl, especially while tracking a moving target in the woods. This is not really a problem for a hunting gun though. This goes away when you turn up the power and is gone at 3 or 4 power. I would not think this would be a good stand alone optic for an AR, but should be fine with the addition of a miniature red dot, when you want true 1 power situations. Everything mechanical about mine seems just right and is still zeroed on my light kicking rifle. This would be a great .22 rifle or pistol carbine scope for a cheap price. I like low mounts and I couldn't quite get the scope forward enough on my Marlin without the magnification ring hitting the weaver mount base, but I would rather put my cheekweld about 1 inch further back than to go with medium height rings because I think lever guns get unbalanced if the scope is too high. Perhaps I'll add a recoil pad someday, but it is a very minor problem. Overall I like this little scope a lot and mine has excellent fit and nice smooth even matte finish. Very happy.

I absolutely love this scope. Have it on a 16" AR. The power adjustment ring is a little tight and at one point got jammed but it loosened up with some oil and some channel locks. If you have this mounted pretty far forward on an AR, especially with a HBAR, expect the rifle to be front heavy. I built my rifle as an all around weapon and this scope hits the spot.

Nice scope for my lightweight AR. The circle reticle combined with low-power zoom works well for quick close range work and precise shooting at longer ranges (think 3-gun). Bushnell scopes have usually not impressed me much; after limited shooting thus far this one looks like it may be a "good 'un".

I love the reticle on this scope! The circle is super fast to use and the fine center cross hair is good for longer shots. This is a great hunting scope where you might have fast shooting in close.

These scopes are great! I own four of them on everything from my N.E.F 45-70 and muzzle loader barrels to my 835 Mossberg turkey gun! The circle-X reticle gets on the target fast and on the lower powers it is great for tree stand hunting in thick woods.The fast focus eye ring works good for short or long range. For the price, it can't be beat!

The Bushnell Banner rifle scope works great, accurate and stable on a 10/22 carbine. Spherical aberations are very aparent in 1 through 2 power; however, it is not noticable in near the center or at 4 power. 1 power is approxamatly 1.25. The scope turret mounts are plastic, but apear to do the job. The scopes visibility is fantastic at one power minus the aberation, it's similar to a glorified red dot with a reticle. For the money this scope gets five stars, but the plastic turret mounts knock it down by one. Good scope for a budget carbine.
