The Millett M4 Extended Picatinny-style Riser Mount is just what you need to get a proper cheek weld on your flattop AR. The riser raises the height of your optic for proper alignment with the eye and also allows you to mount your optic forward to eliminate interference with the charging handle.

The product works well. I can take it off my RR AR-15 with the Millet LRS scope attached and put it back on and still be on target at 500 meters. I will probablly have 0.200 taken off of the rear end of it so I can keep my rear iron sight attached at the same time as the scope. Currently, its either the scope or the rear sight, but not both at the same time.

Unlike some of the other reviewers, I like the 1/2 nuts since this is the same size used on my scope rings (fewer tools to carry). The finish on this is sub-par with machining marks visible under the powdercoat finish. The fit is rock solid and I can't foresee a situation where this would work its way loose.

I ordered this rail extender for my R-25 308 and could not be happier. It raised the eye relief and the best part is now my Millett scope is far enough forward that I can actually get two fingers on the cocking lever. The eye relief is also right on the money.

Bought this for my ...

Bought this for my Bushmaster HBar target model. Needed to get my scope up and forward off of the charging handle. Worked great. Can take it off and put back on with no loss of zero. Rock solid and the big nuts are 100% better then a flat blade screw.

I used this mount to ...

I used this mount to install a Mueller 8-32x 44mm target scope on a DPMS flattop. With this mount and Millett medium rings the scope is right at eye level. This mount also let me move the scope forward for proper eye relief. The front scope ring is now about an inch in front of the original ring area. As far as looks, it's a mount. I'm not sure how they could make it look much different. It's solid and POA has not moved.

Fit and finish adequate, ...

Fit and finish adequate, but milling marks are evident and stamped labeling was crooked. Rear cross bolt mount was misaligned...tried it several ways to ensure I wasn't doing some "oops" mount mistake...rear bolt fell on top of Picatinny land when front properly aligned. Had to mill/repair to make it work. Tried on several rails and same problem with all...no way to make the two bolts align...suspect an individual unit error on this piece. When I look at the entire product...fair:--lower end piece that can be made to work...for fewer dollars.

The machining on this is ...

The machining on this is kind of rough, but it's rock-solid and long enough to mount a long scope like a Millett TRS-1 far enough forward to have proper eye relief. It's not the prettiest thing out there, but it's solid and works well.

The ends of mine were cut ...

The ends of mine were cut square. Mounted to my Armalite upper fine, but measure your rifle. My Armalite runs a consistent .200", I'm also using Armalite's one piece mount at .200". The notches on the top of my riser ran .194-.201. To get the scope mount to sit where I wanted on the riser, I had to spend 3 minutes with a file to get the .196 to .200. Its a very nice snug fit and I'm happy.

I would say that this mount is worth the money. I was surprised when I saw it had two hex nuts instead of screwdriver slotted heads. But that's why they make cresent wrenches (adjustable wrenches), since I keep one in my tool bag of my vehicle. This mount does work very well and I can stick anything I wish to it. I have the EO Tech and it works great on it, but I'm planning on changing to a newer type of sight. If you want something that works and doesn't change zero, this is the product you need.

I was suprised to find made in China on a Millet product but it does work. I only wanted to push the scope forward, this raised it a bit more than desired. The clamping nuts are rather large but it works.
