This carry handle is a decent value for the money. It does what it's intended to do - hold a zero. It holds a zero well but not with finesse. The finish on it is decent but mine came slightly angled to the right when looking down the barrel. This made me make a large adjustment to the left with the peep sight; not necessarily pretty, but it works. The left mounting screw was also bent slightly upward. This screw being bent doesn't effect mounting but isn't really pretty either. Anyway, it holds a zero and warrants a 4 star review. The slightly cheap finish, slight rightward angle, and bent mounting screw prevent this from getting 5 stars. This is certainly a good value for the money if you're looking for a decent handle and iron sight.

This came with a new gun purchase. I thought it was a nice finish and the sight adjustments were not that bad. The way the handle sight mounted to the reciever was quite poor. It didn't grip / engage properly to wedge on the Pictancy rail of my flat top reciever. The solid piece non movable side has a good grove machined into it but the locking mechanism where you snug it down to the rail with the 2 screws is a stamped piece of metal and it only grabs the sharp edge of the rail. People here have gave this sight more credit than it diserves. It doesn't sit squarely on my reciever nor does it have the same plain mounting as my front sight due to this issue of mounting properly. I would never recommend this sight purly on the way it anchors to your rifle. Further I would not trust it for it's use as a carry handle in addition for this fact. I would rather have had a disccount on my rifle and purchased a back-up flip up sight that has a good quality mounting capability. Run away from this sight. I am hunting for a better sight and avoiding all UTG products because of the quality of this sight.

Military Grade quality

This product is utilized the same as any other removable carry handle. I believe this is just as solid and sound as the standard military issued carry handle that I use to build guns for the military each and every day of the week. The calibration was correct right out of the box. Combat zero worked on this site as it does non the military version. For the money, this can't be beat!

OK for casual use

If you want a rear sight for casual AR shooting at moderate ranges, this will work.

The windage adjustment clicks are positive. I have confidence that the sight will not wander left or right.

The range adjustment knob is a different story. The clicks are not positive. They are a bit mushy.

Since the elevation is zeroed using the front sight on an AR, this is not a major issue. If you zero the rifle with the range set to 6/3, and you don't use the range knob, this sight will work for you.

If you wish to shoot beyond 300 yards, this sight won't work. The lack of positive clicks on the range knob makes me think it is not repeatable. The 4 and the 5 range markings in the knob are not clearly stamped. If you had to made a range adjustment in the field, you would have a problem finding the markings. The number of clicks between ranges on this sight is different from the number of clicks on the range knob on my Bushmaster.

Very happy with this so far. It fit well, easy to use. Holding tight after 500 rounds. The only issue I would say detracts from this is a uneven finish. Half of the handle is gloss and half is matte in appearance. For the price I am really really happy.

After sighting in (using sand bags and proper technique!) @50 and @200 yards the windage was off to the left of the assembly, noticeably. Worse even, after 3 days at the range (approx 300 rounds) I had elevation change (about 9 MOA high!), and on further inspection, I found the rear sight loose with a seized up elevation knob. Also note, the smaller aperture is NOT co-witnessed to the larger one. It is compensated for 300+ yard elevation change. So if you are one of those shooters who prefer shooting from the smaller hole all the time (IE, closer than 300 yards) then this is not the sight for you. I think all the A2 handles are this way, but I am not sure. I recommend if buying a carry handle, try aiming higher ;)

Function is great love it, finish well leaves something to be desired. Shiny in spots then flat (very visible and inconsistant) so if you are looking for a pretty gun you may want to move on. Otherwise for the cost it does what it is supposed to.

Great carry handle. Unlike in the other review, everything seems symmetrical and the finish is very similar to my BCM upper. Maybe UTG stepped up quality control. Nevertheless, I don't see why anyone would pay more for a carry handle.
