It takes 2 patches to get anywhere near a snug fit in a .22 rimfire bore and 3 for a .223 bore. I won't be buying these again.

For .223 you need 2 for a snug fit, and you need 3 for a tight fit in the bore. Holds lube well and picks up crud well. I have ordered them twice and will continue to do so.

These are a little thin ...

These are a little thin for .224. With the right size jag you need to use 2. That said, they work very well. They are very absorbent and seem to pick up and hold fouling well. They also are tougher than T-shirt material and a sharp pointed jag will not tear through. Buy twice as many as you normally would, they go quickly.

Works great in my .22 rifles and pistols. No annoying frayed edges to leave strings in your barrel or breech. Sized right for .22. Absorbent and reasonably priced. I will order more when I run out.

These patches are extremely thin. This allows them to pass easily through tight barrels. When more cleaning is needed, use two patches and they provide an increase in scrubbing but still pass through the bores. Other brands of patches just can't do this.

These are the best for .22. Not too tight like alot of the others. I also use them in my 6mm's for the first few passes then switch to the cotton patches. I don't like having to force a patch down the bore. I just ordered 2,500 more of these if that tells you anything. They are more economical than most others too.

used these patches in my M4. i use two at a time for a genrally tight fit. i used the familiar M16/M4 cleaning kit in sectioned steel rods as well as a J dewey coated cleaning rod with parker hale cleaning tips for my .223 bolt rifle. using only one patch seems like its just barely touching the bore as the rod rattles down the bore. a small sacrifice but great patches.
