Speer Spitzer Boat Tail bullets feature a tapered heel that reduces aerodynamic drag for flatter trajectories and less wind drift. These bullets are great bullets to use hunting medium sized game. Outstanding performance, unquestioned accuracy, proven on Wheatfield Coyotes @ interesting ranges. .243 moving @ 3100 FPS with IMR 4350, extremely deadly combination, highly recommend for this type of hunting.

Reloaded them for Winchester model 70, 243 Win using IMR 4350, H414 and IMR 4064. The best results of 1 MOA from 200 Yards, I am getting are with IMR 4064 loaded .013 inches from landing. With this excellent grouping my confidence level is very high, and I am eagerly waiting to try them on Antelope this season in Wyoming.

This is the best I can do in shooting my 243. 3 bullets in one hole group at 100 yards. If you reload, buy them.

I can't say enough good ...

I can't say enough good things about this bullet. I've been hunting since 1946 with many calibers and bullets. In the 70s I built a 6mm Rem Shilen 26" barreled varmint gun. I seated out the bullets for powder capacity and crono'd this bullet at 3,300fps. With these bullets I shot a witnessed 200 yd 10 shot 5/8" group. Of the many deer and antelope I've taken since then I've only recovered two bullets that weren't through and through. They were in the offside hide with perfect mushrooms and very high weight retention. Almost all kills were with one shot and they fell where shot. My hunting friends said that whenever they heard the crack of my 6mm they were sure I had my buck. The closest shot was about 20yds and the longest was at 540yds. The close shot exited without coming apart and the long shot was a planed head shot on an antelope on a bet for a steak dinner with three of my friends watching. The shot took off the top half of the skull. It all worked so well that I packed that 9 1/2lb varmint rifle over many hills as my game gun. I never tried bear or elk with it because of all the heavy bones and muscles but I'm confident that a well placed broadside shot would do the job. This is the best hunting bullet of any caliber I've ever shot.

The very best boattail at an affordable price. 1 shot at 200yds and the deer ran only 30 yds or so. Bullet retained 73%. That's equivilant to the Nosler Partition!

Perfect multipurpose bullet for all midwest game. Best for coyotes. Allows high velocity performance without sacrificing accuracy. Have gotten excellent groups. Does a good job on deer also when you don't want to change scope settings for heavier bullets.
