Product Information

The Vortex flash hider uses a patented 15 degree, right hand helical flute design to eliminate muzzle flash. Used by US armed forces worldwide as well as US Dept of Homeland Security and law enforcement across the nation. Machined from ordnance grade 8620 steel and finished with a mil-spec phospate.

The Direct Connect Vortex was developed for the US Navy SEAL MK14 Mod O variant of the M14 rifle, and has since become a standard issue item. The Vortex DC must be used in conjuction with the Smith Enterprise M14 Gas Lock Front Sight (GLFS), and allows for the installation of Smith's quick detachable Direct Connect sound suppressor.
