At this price, the Power ...

At this price, the Power Custom latch makes a great replacement for the stock latch.Let me tell you why:I have a Rock River Arms charging handle and the stock latch. I accidentally slipped the very first day I had it, and during the return it took off a chunk of my fingernail and gave me a blood blister under the skin.I decided to look for a latch that would give me some extra grip on the handle, and the Power Custom latch looked solid enough and according to the manufacturer, everyone who bought them liked the latch including some special forces units.This latch gives you the needed leverage and grip to prevent an accidental slip (it was goofy on my part, but that small stock latch is just too darn undersized).

Good pricing on these. I used it for several years on a scoped Armalite AR10. Sticks out that extra bit that you need, but Fit is a little sloppy due to how wide the latch is and how much material hinges on the pin. Not much more positive than the standard, but a small step up. I replaced it with a PRI. The description says made of aluminum, but mine is made of steel. Spend a few extra bucks on a different latch than this unless you absolutely have to stay under $10.

Just added one of these to one of my AR's and am happy with it. Price is reasonable,easy enough to install, (takes about 5 minutes) fits and functions good and is long enough to provide a good grasp with a low or large scope in place without having to struggle to reach way under your scope. I would buy more as needed. RemMax

With most tatical latches I find that they would jab me in the chest with a 3 point sling, this one did too but there is enough meat on it to allow me to shape it to the size I want.
