Product Information

This unique 2-stage trigger group is the first of its kind offered for AK-pattern rifles. The steel trigger group features a first stage pull weight of 3-4 lbs, followed by a second stage pull of 8 lbs to drop the hammer. All trigger parts are manufactured in the US and count as three 922r compliance parts.

3 Stars for the trigger because I had trigger slap, really hurts my finger but I like the hammer. I ended with a mix of tapco trigger and arsenal hammer. It feels really nice (better than having both from the same, either tapco or arsenal trigger and hammer) but thats just me.

I had purchased this for a Saiga conversion I was working on. It was replacing a polished TAPCO G2 that had been used for another conversion. The 2-stage trigger is a neat idea just executed rather roughly. The second stage is a result of a rather large lip of metal on both engagement faces of the trigger that takes a bit of force to overcome (at least on my example). Out of the box I would estimate about a 13-15 pound pull. Worst of all was the annoying trigger slap after every round. In retrospect I should have gone with another TAPCO G2 (approx 3-4 Pounds (after I polished the engagement face) and 0 slap-an absolute joy to shoot). I suppose this trigger might appeal to those who are looking for a "safer" trigger, as the trigger pull is fairly excessive.

For an inexpensive (not a match grade) two stage trigger, this trigger is great. Much better than the crunchy TAPCO single stage that came with the rifle!

Trigger group slipped right in without a problem and works perfectly. Easy replacement for a 922r compliance piece. Gave it 4 stars because the trigger is nowhere near as crisp as the factory on my romy '47, and has a very long pull, but its consistent.

I've had two of these, only because I've got an Arsenal 7.62 and an Arsenal 5.45. I'm just here to say that I've got a Tapco G2 installed in my 5.45, and I'm going to be getting another for my 7.62. It's not that these are bad; they don't slap terrribly (worse than G2 though), and they have a nice two stage. However, you can't bump fire with it because the second stage is so hard to pull, whereas a Tapco G2 is like 3-4 lbs. Overall, I'd suggest going with Tapco. I hate their furniture (it's cheap as heck) but love their triggers and magazines.

Does what it advertises. I installed it on my Century Bulgarian AK-74 and it really tightened up my groups. Second stage has a heavy pull, but it said that it would, so I can't complain. Does have a fair amount of trigger slap now, which it didn't have with the single stage G2. Enough to make me consider putting the G2 back on, even though it will hurt my accuracy. Other than that, it ran fine with no issues.
