Solved my last round ...

Solved my last round getting stuck problem when using soft points. Multiple springs and multiple spring tweaks didn't help. Shooting my 30.06 makes the last round slide forward. When I push the bolt to chamber it, the tip of the round is already against the magazine wall and it just jams. This follower keeps the last round above the magazine wall, thereby avoiding the problem completely. Wish I had done this first. The other reviewer was right about it being a bit too small to slide the spring in. It's aluminum, so a small metal file will fix that problem, or you do what I did and just work the spring back and forth as you push it in. Once you get it halfway in, use a large punch and small hammer to drive it in the rest of the way. It took some considerable effort, but only about 10 minutes to do this.

Not quite as nicely ...

Not quite as nicely finished as the Remington milled version. Minor fitting required to get the magazine spring to sit properly. Appears that the slot for the spring is a few thousands too narrow. Overall, a good product.

Installed with no fitting required. Feeds 100% better than original follower. The only alteration that I did was polish the top of the follower. Good product.

I had a problem with my rounds not feeding right with the original chrome steel follower. This Callahan follower made all the difference. The nose of the round now hits the feed ramp at a much better angle.
