The popular FastFire II is even better with upgraded features that include a top mounted battery ((1) CR1632 or (2) CR2016) for easier battery replacement, upgraded windage and elevation adjustments and a power button that provides three manual brightness settings and an automatic brightness setting with low battery indicator. Newer isn't always better.

I have both a Fast Fire II and a III. I prefer the II to the III. I shoot bullseye and found that the III has either too small a dot or too bright a dot, depending on the setting, for my type of shooting. I do like the ease of sighting in the III over the II as well as the ease of changing the battery. However, after sighting both in both models, there is not a need to perform either of those tasks for a long while. Therefore, if I were to buy another dot sight, it would be a Fast Fire II or another brand.

Dot is crisp and clear, ...

Dot is crisp and clear, just a small red dot perfectly round and sharp. This sight is much better than the FFII which I had and sold because it would not dim down enough. The three manual brightness settings on the FFIII are perfect. It dims way down for evening shooting. On my Ruger MK III 22/45 with the threaded barrel I had to shim the rear of the picatinny base up because I ran out of vertical adjustment. I cut a strip from a coke can and folded it three times and inserted in under the rear of the sight base. That tilted the sight down slightly which allowed me to raise the elevation perfectly. I am Very happy with the FFIII. No regrets at all on the purchase.

Much improved over the previous version. Click adjustable sighting, good brightness, and I can turn it off with the touch of a button. Dot is mostly round with minimal parallax.

Same here, put my glasses on and dot is clear and crisp. Very nice red dot sight. My only problem is I cant get the dot to adjust down enough, I need to shim the rear of it. Anyone have any ideas?

I had exactly the same problem as the reviewer who gave this item only one star (because red dot/ring was a blob). BUT I discovered the problem was with my astigmatism, not the sight. I put on my glasses and the blob became a nice clear red pattern! Same applies to any brand of red dot optics if you have even slight astigmatism. This is an excellent product and I have had great success with it.
