Product Information

Converts an AR-15 to shoot 5.7x28 FN. Unique upper design loads on top and accepts FN PS90 magazine (not included) and ejects downward through the AR-15 magwell. Upper is precision machined from a one piece aluminum forging. Integrated picatinny-style quad rail system allows attachment of various accessories. Parkerized chrome alloy bolt and full-floated barrel. Teflon-infused hard coat anodized aluminum upper and rails.

Extremely tight fit on ...

Extremely tight fit on Rocker River lower but extremely accurate. Lower has Rock River match trigger. Less than 1/2" groups with the FNH 27 grain load @ 100yds. Also functions flawlessly with SWR Spectre suppressor. Well worth the money. Probably the most fun addition to my AR yet.

This upper is fun to shoot and well built. 50 round magazines lets you push a lot of lead (or just copper) at an intermediate distance target. Not a lot of space for optics, but there is just enough space for my red-dot and 3x. After my .22LR upper, this is the funnest to shoot.

Mounted on a Bushmaster lower, mine is ready for work with alot of extras slapped on. Only one problem so far. Seems the 40 gr blue tips get hot, expand and then drag when rotating to load. Not sure what to do about that. The 27 gr works perfect but is hard to find down here. Wont trade it away though.

Very accurate. The reason ...

Very accurate. The reason I only give it 5 stars is this unit should come with 2 buffers. One for the carbine and one for the rifle lower. If you use the shorter buffer that comes with this, it will shoot OK but you have to remember to shoot very slowly and allow the bolt time to return to battery. If you pull the trigger too soon and the bolt is all the way back the trigger will fall in front of the bolt face. If this happens you will need to use a cleaning rod through the barrel to push the bolt all the way back and then use another small rod to reset the trigger. What WORKS for me is i cut some 1/2" rubber tubing to length and put this behind the buffer inside the spring. PS: A 30 round .223 magazine will hold 50 empty brass but NOT 100. I would advise getting one. I love mine. It doesn't jam, is accurate and has virtually no recoil. Also, simple in design and very easy to clean. The velocity is quoted at 2200 FPS and it is plenty powerful plus you have 50 rounds at your disposal.

I was excited about this upper, being an avid reloader. The "blow-back" design enables the use of lead bullets with gas checks to cut plinking costs. I was not disappointed! Function & reliability is flawless. Recoil is almost non-existent. Only slight draw-back is the "in your face" sight rail if you opt a scope. The top feed magazine hogs all the room & you are pretty much forced to use a stubby red dot. Bullet shape & configuration can be your wildest dream. Feeding is a non-issue since the bolt plucks the round off of the follower & guides it straight into the chamber. Beware: this is a tricky round to reload with not much data out there. I found even the starting loads to be a tad too hot & backed off .5 grs. Most testing is done with a 5" barrel & pressure builds quick in the 16".

Just came in from range I love this upper, its accurate, low recoil, I have it mounted with an EOTech style sight and fitted with a 20 rnd mag as a brass catcher. The only downside I can find is no bolt hold open. Highly recommend getting one.

Good design and well made upper... but, upper can only be installed on a lower w/ standard hammer/trigger unit... the buffer that comes w/ the upper is for carbine lower only... rifle length lowers will require you to purchase an A2 buffer (233.5 gram)... hope Midway will sell these also... cut the top off of an old 30 round magazine to use as a brass catcher... the Walther P22 red dot sight works well w/ this upper...

Just to add two things...an Eotech Holosight mounts perfectly on the raised rail behind the magazine, and a 20rd magazine body makes a perfect brass catcher. No need to cut up a 30...Mine loves the RRA lower with a two-stage military match trigger.
