Iosso Brass Case Cleaner is a quick and easy liquid brass cleaner that removes fouling, tarnish, oil and grime from cases leaving brass bright and clean. A simple immersion in the liquid, a quick rinse and dry is all that is needed.

Technical Information

Directions for Use: Immerse the brass in the solution for 20 seconds up to five minutes, rinse and dry.
Size: 32 Ounces
Container: Plastic Bottle
Notes:

Effectively removes powder fouling residue, oxidation, tarnish, discoloration, dirt, and grime.

Restores brass casings to a bright finish in seconds.

Cleans the inside of the casings and the primer pocket.

A quart of cleaner cleans approximately two thousand cases depending upon the degree of tarnish and residue.

Amazing how well this ...

Amazing how well this works. I usually use 0000 steel wool to clean up cases, but results are marginal and forget about the case heads! I had some dirty cartridges that were brown and Iosso made them look almost like new. I use a 32 oz plastic apple sauce jar, soak for the least amount of time needed (as it is a mild acid), rinse in hot water, pop them in the oven at about 150 for 5-7 minutes and they are done. Sure you won't see your reflection in the case but that is just for impressing your friends. Your chamber does not require shine, it requires clean. This does the job.

Does an excellent job cleaning cases, saves a lot of tumbling time. Doesn't rinse off as easily as I would like, therefore using a lot of water.

Used it a couple of times already, so far not impressed at all. After you soak it you still have to rinse it and dry it and as said by others it doesn't remove primer pocket residue, then you still have to tumble your brass if you want it really clean. It is good for a rough cleaning of the brass I pickup at the range

Deprimed .223s first with ...

Deprimed .223s first with universal deprime tool. Used an RCBS primer pocket brush next(about 2 seconds each). Soaked about 10 cases at a time increasing time with each batch. It took about 2 minutes to remove residue INSIDE the case. Tumbling will do the outside. I have never been able to do the inside of bottleneck cases so easily. let them dry several hours. Ran in tumbler for about 1/2 hour with walnut and Iosso media. Look great no worry about buildup inside of case.

This product works great for cleaning nasty range brass, before you put it in a tumbler! You will still need to run the brass through a tumbler to get the high luster polish, but it cuts the tumbling time way down. And you need to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, it says not to leave the brass too long in the solution. You can save some really nasty brass with it. And it is not a short cut for cleaning primer pockets, you will need to clean those in a separate op. But it is a good product and I plan to keep using it.

A lot of complaining this ...

A lot of complaining this does not produce shiny cases. The problem is some do not understand what this is for. It is to remove gunk, major crud, and tarnish only a mother could love. For that this stuff works great. It is not intended to replace tumbling but to get brass into condition where it can be tumbled. I've rehabbed some amazingly bad range brass starting with this and not had to burn my tumbler for 2 days to do it.

Thinned w/water after ...

Thinned w/water after reading suggestion from another reviewer. Definitely not a replacement for tumbling. Dirt & grime were cleaned off, but after rinsing in water, the cases tarnished badly and had a milky white appearance. You have to really watch the time. Do not soak for more than a couple mins. Does not clean primer residue from pockets as advertised. This might be okay for an initial cleaning if you're picking up range brass, but for your own reloads, stick to tumbling.
