Product Information

The Lee Loadmaster Progressive Press reloads both rifle and handgun cartridges with ease and enough clearance for even the largest magnum rifle cases. It can be used as an automatic indexing progressive press or as a single stage press, and its five stations accept most popular reloading dies. Dies are held by a detachable turret that allows them to be removed and reinserted without adjusting.

If you are patient with some mechanical ability, this press is a gem. As opposed to 3 years ago, there are now lots of help videos on the internet to assist in set-up. The best site is Loadmaster zone. After watching all videos, I have got my press running about 500 rph, this including refilling the primer tray and visiting the john to take a leak. Considering this press already has the dies and case feeder, this is the highest value press in the planet. I'm getting another Loadmaster for my 223 AR.

As delivered product ...

As delivered product malfunction, powder chain broke four times, powder feed changed to spring operated, case feeder set bolt stripped out, retapped to larger size, case feeder block eventually split trying to flip to reset for next case. Bullet feeder sent unthreaded, wouldn't hold parts together to feed bullets. Springs at nearest hardware store cost about $3.85. Taps, already had. The case feeder is a different story, use loader without case feeder, but the darn thing loads well, quickly, dependably, catches all primers, with a good degree of accuracy. Setup takes some study and ingenuity to use and change for your personal taste but overall, it's still a good reloader. Whoever heard of 150-200 yard .44 Mag loads on a saddle gun, with A9? It seems it's in the eyes of the user. But I still like Lee, they offered to fix the broken parts and replace the loader, Heck I put too much work in getting it to work to send it back!

Received the press and ...

Received the press and was very excited to start loading. After several attempts (TOTALING ABOUT 8 HOURS) I gave up. So I stuck it under my reloading bench. After about 6 months I tried again. Back under the bench it went. Now about a year later I am trying for the third time. I regret not sending it back. I see other people are looking at Loadmaster Zone for help. I will give that a try. I have a feeling I will scrap the press and use the dies on my Lee Pro 1000. This press works great.

Unlike any loader I've ...

Unlike any loader I've used. Already has dies, shell plate, and case feeder. I followed the YouTube tips, decap on station 1, size in station 2. No jams after 4000 rounds. The only thing I didn't like is the powder measure. I replaced with an RCBS Uniflow with case activation. Very satisfied with this press!!

Quick loading machine. I ...

Quick loading machine. I followed all the internet tips and videos and everything works like a charm. Loaded 4000 rounds already. Initially had priming problems but a sizing die on station 2 solved it. Don't add too much lube on the indexing or it will slip and jam. I'm buying another LM in 380 ACP. Satisfied to the max!!

Like others, I have very nice experience with this press. Maybe poor instructions are one cause of jams, but there are a lot of videos on the internet for set-up. I load 44 Mag and 445 Super Mag with this unit for my Dan Wesson Revolvers. Very nice, pin point rounds.

Fine machine. I took time ...

Fine machine. I took time and kept patience to set it up using videos from You Tube. I also called Lee for some tech help. I've loaded already 5000 rounds of 44mag for my Marlin 1894 rifle and my Ruger Redhawk revolver. Very accurate rounds formed. I replaced the powder measure with a Hornady measure with CADP. I would recommend this unit to experienced reloaders who can turn a wrench. Patience does have its advantage.

Just a lot of value. ...

Just a lot of value. Already includes dies and shellplate plus case inserter. Having these saves money vs others costing hundreds more. I familiarize myself with the press thru help videos at Lee's website and many in You Tube. MySmith 629 loves the rounds loaded on this press. Load rate is about 500 an hour. Keep them coming Lee!!

I use this press to load ...

I use this press to load for my 44 Mag Ruger rifle and find it works well. The first thing to do when you get the press is throw away the user's manual. It cannot be understood even by an experienced reloader like me (20 yrs reloading). I asked my friend who used one for years, to help in set-up and I also watched a lot of set-up videos on the internet. After 4000 rounds of 44 Mag, the press is still trouble free. I love this press!! Nice work Lee!!

Worked quite well for me ...

Worked quite well for me after properly setting it up. I called Lee several times and watched all internet set-up videos I could find. Most of my Lyman and RCBS3 die pistol sets also work great on this unit including my RCBS uniflow powder measure with case activated drop. I'm a Lee fan now!!

Should really be called ...

Should really be called Value-Master. Already includes dies, shell plate and case feeder which cost more than $500 for Dillon 650. The LM is as fast as Dillon, even faster. The key is proper set-up. See the videos at Load Master Zone.com. Truly high value lovable press!!

I took mine out of ...

I took mine out of storage for more than 2 years. Just could not set it up due to the very poor operating manual. Recently viewed set-up videos online. I finally got my press working at about 600 rounds an hour, including refilling the primer tray and the case collator. I also used a Hornady bullet feeder on my press on the station #4. Works like a watch. I'm happy with this press. Lee should change the manual which seemed to written by a 5th grader. Otherwise a 5 stars product!!!
