Quality of Fajen stocks ...

Quality of Fajen stocks is usually superb - no exception here. This thing is just beautiful to look at... Shoulders perfectly for offhand (standing) shots and is very, very comfortable. Rollover comb is quite tall, so a set of millet "high" scope rings will be in order, depending on the objective size of your scope. Stock is surprisingly light in weight. An ideal accessory to add would be one of the new composite barrels. This is a fantastic stock for your 10-22.

This stock fit my 10/22 just perfect!! I installed a NCstar 4pwr scope with QD. rings and have broken many half size trap clay targets at 200yards!! Can't say enough about this combo,Love it !!!

Clearly a lot of people ...

Clearly a lot of people like this stock, but perhaps not as many as before, for a decade or so ago they made, along with the "Silhouette," a "Sporter," I think it was called, with a lower cheek piece, and they were available in black or brown. My guess is that the brown silhouette survived on looks rather than functionality. When I purchased my Silhouette, I, as many others, I presume, thought it would be better for target shooting than the Sporter. It wasn'tAs mentioned by only one other viewer, because of the high cheek piece, it is difficult to find scope rings high enough to get the scope lined up with your eye.I found some scope rings with high, open bases that permit using iron sights by looking through the bases. My rifle shoots comfortably, but the rings look a bit strange, and the line of sight is about 2.25 inches above the bore. This stock certainly looks impressive, but it does not seem to be ergonomic without exceptionally high scope rings.As for its "drop-in" readiness, it required minimal sanding for the action, but the bull barrel does not float. Even so, my barrel doesn't seem to mind.

Great Stock but get the unfinished one since you're going to have to cut down and refinish the rollover cheekpiece anyway! (Cheekpiece too high for even the "High" Scope Rings)

Beautiful stock, but when ...

Beautiful stock, but when the trigger and action area was hollowed out, there was a 1mm gap in the process. The action was extremely stubborn to install, and once installed, the clip would not seat properly. After some strategic sanding, everything worked fine. Maybe this is an isolated incedent, but otherwise it is a great stock.

Great product. This stock ...

Great product. This stock looks great and required minimal fitting. The stock and barrel combo I put together along with a VX-1 scope and the factory trigger will shoot 3 shots connected at 50 yrds. Had to sand a little to get the 10 rd. Ruger mag. to fall out. Note: 3 shot groups using CCI green tag ammo.

I have been a shooter for ...

I have been a shooter for about 40 years now and have seen my share of junk. This was NOT the case this time. I was very pleased at the quality and craftsmanship of this product. The fit for the 10-22 reciever and trigger was about as perfect as one could make it. A slight amount of patience is required because the fit is very close. The result is a near perfect fit right out of the box. This is one product I will put my seal of approval on and highly recommend it to anyone.

The stock finish was ...

The stock finish was excellent. Great for offhand shooting. (does not come with sling studs) I lightly skim glass bed the rear action contact area. Installed volquartsen pillar bed kit. (cheap price, and was easy, and was fun to do!) This rifle shot better with the forend pressure pad installed. The rifle cuts ten shot groups less than 1/4 in. every time. Was a fun project, and has held the zero for two years with over five brick of wolf through it. It has always been a looker at the range, (the rifle and target groups) and as a great small game hunting rifle.
