The Forster "Original", "Classic", "Power", Case Trimmer Primer Pocket Chamfering Tool is the ideal tool to use for chamfering thousands of cases with Forster Case Trimmers. It is smooth cutting with staggered tooth cutter that will chamfer thousands of cases consistently. By setting the stop collar, the reloader controls the depth and uniformity of the cut. As with the Primer Pocket Cleaner, simply hold the case mouth over the Primer Pocket Center while you remove the crimp by turning the Case Trimmer handle. No collets required. Primer Pocket Center, which is required to support the case mouth, is sold separately.

I am very pleased with ...

I am very pleased with this tool. I use it with the Forster Original case trimmer base, and find it to be the smoothest and easiest way to remove the crimp on my 223 brass. This tool is quite well made and sharp. It cuts quickly and has greatly decreased the time it takes me to process the brass through this stage. I will not go back to the RCBS swager or the other methods I have tried. They are too clunky and awkward. Used properly, this chamfering tool ensures that the case is centered and allows a consistent depth to be cut into each case. I get very consistent results.

This is a very poor tool. The relief angles on the flutes are ground incorrectly, so that it rides over the crimp and pushes the brass off to the sides, rather than properly cutting the crimp away. Not recommended.
