I use a 9mm Luger carbide ...

I use a 9mm Luger carbide sizer die to size bodies of 30 Luger brass in my progressive. I then resize neck with Lee's 30 Luger steel sizer die. I don't have to use any case lube. The steel sizer die is super hard and has worked for me for years. If you load for the Parabellum pistol that has a new (Wolff) main spring, you have to go over the various load manual's max. Place a piece of masking tape on your parabellum's rear toggle and load with Power Pistol powder until the pistol cycles and dents the tape. If the tape is cut or torn you are OVERCHARGED. This will batter the frame. When I rebuilt my first Luger, I couldn't get a recoil cycle with ANY factory cartridges.

I own a few military ...

I own a few military pistols and use this die set to load 30 Luger. The difficulty of finding loaded factory rounds makes reloading quite desirable. Lee dies do the task quite well. I have tweaked the loads to make it super accurate. Sizing the bottle neck case has been easy. Lightly roll the round on a lubricated cloth and sizing will not require much effort. The load data included in the die set is quite helpful as not much data is around. Thanks to Lee for allowing me to continue to use my old mil hardwares.

I really like these dies. ...

I really like these dies. Very easy to set-up and produces good rounds. My accuracy has been excellent. The only downside is you have to lube your cases prior to sizing. However, after reading posts in the 357 dies, I tried the lubeless technique done by other guys. I size the fired 30 luger cases thru a Lee carbide 9mm sizing die prior to sizing thru the 30 luger die. I find that less effort is needed to size cases if they are run first on the 9mm sizer. More importantly, NO LUBE is needed as sizing only the neck and shoulder needs no lube. Now its much faster and more pleasant reloading this case! Thanks to this site and Lee!
