Well this new book is awesome! I couldn't wait to check out the new load data. A lot more has been added. The unrevised version was my go-to book, but now this one will take its place. The beginning of book is for the most part unchanged, some minor tweaks and added anecdotes. But the load data now has black tabs on the side of the pages so it is much easier to find your favorite load and is easier to read. It has added loads for 9mm, 40 s&w, 45 ACP, 357 mag, and brand new to the book 5.7x28 mm FN. The rifle loads (223 rem, 22-250, 250 savage, 308 win, and 300 win mag) that I use for the most part have gone unchanged, but they have added the latest powders and latest bullets. This book is a must-have if you are a conscientious reloader. Thank you Lee Precision.

Not the greatest book for starters

Lee Modern Reloading is a good book for reloaders with moderate amounts of experience as it contains tons of loads for oodles of cartridges and dozens of bullets for each. No other loading manual I've found has half the amount of loads that the Lee manual contains. However, for those interested in information to get started reloading, the Hornady and Lyman manuals are better choices. The Lee manual tends to ramble in places and doesn't do a great job describing the overall process that occurs not only when cartridges are fired, but also throughout the reloading process.

This manual reads as if written by some one who knows what he is talking about, but has trouble communicating his meaning. With that said, no other loading manual is as complete from a raw data standpoint.

I have all the previous editions of this book, and truly enjoy reading it. Of course, Lee products are used, and explained in principle as to how and why. I like the rearrangement of the calibers in rifle and pistol categories, and the new tables are much easier to read. I was surprised that some loads had been updated for some of the calibers I have(45/70). This is the place for my starting loads, and the place where I learned to reload. I bought two more for my beginner friends for Christmas last year to get them started. This is my unpaid opinion of this product.

Excellent Manual

Clear, concise, and full of information, I find this book to be incredibly useful with the considerable amount of data and thought out into it.

My one issue is that Lee does use it to push products, but even that isn't very obtrusive.

An excellent manual for any Reloader.

I have this book and it has lots of load data. It is an exceptional value and a good reference even when not on sale. I would highly recommend it as has an extensive list of loads for lots of cartridges.It even has data for 6.8 REM SPC and 45 GAP.Sierra "5th Edition doest have the data. But doesnt have the 50 Balewolf but it is understandable its not a common calibers.

Have used Lee products of all kinds for many years. Their customer service after a sale is outstanding! I have encountered problems over the years through my own ignorance and Lee has ALWAYS taken care of them. The re-loading manual has many new and experimental calibers included that some others omitted.

Good book, lots of information.

If you look at the book while it is closed, there is an index printed on the right side of each page. You can faintly see it in the product picture.

This is a nice feature, and makes it very quick to find whatever caliber you need.

Lee's lack of quality control

This book has tons of reloading data and is very extensive. It could have been a good addition to my collection but the problem lies in Lee's lack of quality control and their inability to produce a well-made product. After starting to read the book I ran into blank pages. Doing a quick thumb through the book I counted 8 pages that were blank, and am sure there are others. Having been disappointed with the quality of Lee products lately, this will be my last Lee purchase. Generally you get what you pay for, that must be why Lee usually costs less.
