A true Mil-STD-1913 ...

A true Mil-STD-1913 Picatinny rail. An advantage to the removal and reinstall of scope assembly for transport. 20 MOA a real advantage for the LR shooter. Discussed rail and ring systems with Warne - very knowledgeable and followed Warne recommendations for mounting Leupold competition sight on my Savage 12 F/TR. I use Warne Tactical 30 mm medium rings to complete the install. Warne will directly exchange any of their ring products for size change if not compatible with user fit check. Well crafted products, excellent design and engineering.

I bought a 300 Win Mag that broke two other mounting bases that were just the standard rifle bases from Leupold. Finally I found something that could really withstand the recoil of this gun! I am very pleased and have not had problems with it and have put another 150 rounds and it is still on zero and shooting sub MOA.

Solid mount. Quality machining and Easy installation. Matched with Warne tactical ring set. Dull black finish on the base and ring set is a close match to the rifle finish. Base is low for top load but is manageable. Still, it is a versatile/expandable platform.

Awesome machine work and a perfect fit for my 10FCP. Fit and finish is on par with other high end bases. The best feature of this base is the length. As it stops right at the end of the receiver, it allowed me to mount a fairly large 42mm objective scope with low rings. Some of the other high-end bases extend past the edge of the receiver and will not clear the bell of a larger objective scope without either taller rings or moving the scope forward (limiting positioning for proper eye relief). Great product. Any more Savage 10 series build-ups that I do will ALL get one of these bases!

This 0-degree one-piece Warne picatinny rail was drilled & redrilled, finally making it "close enough" and sent out for sale. Better than the first one, a $107 20-degree 1-piece Warne that was drilled out 1/16" off and couldn't mount to my Savage 12 .223 *at all*. Poor QC in my honest opinion - Thank God for Midway USA, they accepted the return & sent out the replacement pronto - Thanks!! But I'll try another Manufacturer next time.

Minimal flexibility when mounting 50mm objective scope. Very short mount which caused me to move my Leupold Mark IV rings in too close. Stick with Badger Ordnance.
