Product Information

This magazine features a body made from .027" aircraft grade certified 17-7 PH stainless steel and is heat-treated for maximum durability and service life. The magazine spring is specially fabricated from high tensile strength wire for enhanced feeding and is able to remain fully loaded for long periods of time without damage. Features a fiber-filled nylon self-lubricating follower and removable base pad.

Technical Information:

Both sides of the tube have witness slots

Follower has an extended skirt to minimize creep from the tube when the magazine is empty

Base pad is designed to provide a sure grip when pulling the magazine from a pouch

Notes on Selecting the Correct 1911 Magazine:

If the grips on your 1911 measure 4" long, you have a Government/Commander length grip

If the grips on your 1911 measure 3-1/2" long, you have an Officer/Defender length grip

Great magazine. Will feed ...

Great magazine. Will feed an empty case into the chamber of my Springfield Govt. Model 1911, which the factory mag won't do. (This is a torture test for feed reliability, not something otherwise useful.) Also feels well made and is very smooth to load as one of the prior posters mentioned. No complaints. Be aware that it sticks out almost 1/2 an inch from the butt of a typical Govt. Model, in case this would bother you; might not be the best mag for concealed carry because of this.

Quality and construction is a five, but function is a two. I've had constant problems with the 47D mags failing to arrest the slide after the last round is fired. I even sent three back to Wilson, which they promptly replaced with new mags (their customer service is excellent!). The problem persisted and I've now switched to Chip McCormick Power Mags, which function flawlessly. A friend of mine has a Kimber TLE/RL II and has not had a problem with the 47D mags.

I use these Wilson D47 mags in my S&W 1911. I have had no FTF, FTE, or sticking thought 1000 rds. I have found Wilson mags to work in my friends Kimber without problems also.
I use Midway for most of my online purchases. They have great service. Prices and shipping are good.

These things just work. I have a Desert Eagle 1911G and these magazines have always worked, no problems. This gun didn't like the cheaper standard magazines.

Best 1911 mags I have used, function great in all of my 1911. I also have Wilson's 10 round 1911 magazines and they are just as good.

Expensive, but worth it. The WC 47D magazines fed everything I loaded them with in my Sig Traditional Reverse, and have never failed to lock the slide back after the last round. I will buy more.

I use Wilson Combat magazines exclusively. They are absolutely worth their weight in gold in getting your 1911 to run flawlessly. Not to mention that Wilson Combat backs up their magazines if you should ever encounter a problem. Definitely a must for any serious 1911 shooter whether it be IDPA or USPSA.

Fed every round reliably, locked slide when empty. Every time. This was in my Sig Traditional 1911, with PMC & Remington UMC FMJs, and Win PDX1 JHP. I will buy more.
