Product Information

The Tipped TSX features a 100-percent copper body with rings cut into the shank. A polymer tip boosts the ballistic coefficient, improves long-range ballistics and provides fast expansion. The four razor sharp cutting petals double the bullet diameter making delivering "dead right there" performance.

These revolutionary bullets from Barnes are made of 100% copper and contain no lead. Barnes recommends initially seating bullets 0.050" off the lands. Best accuracy will be found from 0.030" to 0.070" depending on the rifle. This is not loaded ammunition.

Just used these in Namibia in a Kimber 7mm WSM. I loaded them down to about 2700 fps for my wife to use and at about 3400 fps for my use. Both worked great. My wife shot a Gemsbok and a Kudu, both broadside and through the shoulder, both bullets exited and the animals went less that 25 yards. I shot Wildebeest, Gemsbok, Springbok and Jackal. Again, great performance and never recovered a bullet due to their penetration. My PH was VERY impressed with the effectiveness of such a light bullet. Give them a try.

These bullets are impressive, and accuarte. I tried them out of my Ruger M77 Mark 2 Standard. I've made a point to try every 120 grain bullet I could get my hands on and try them for deer. I would recommend these, but I will never use them due to the fact I already found my go to bullet Sierra Pro Hunter 120 grains. But I shot a handful of deer with them and good penetration and expansion. And all but two dropped in their tracks.

The more I use this bullet the happier I am, 7mm rem. sindero timmny trigger that's it. Heavy load of 4831SC around 3450fps cron. Deer taken at 17yds. out to 275 one shot and down. Learn to shoot at the heart, the performance of the bullet will do it's part.

Fantastic bullet

This bullet shoots wonderfully out of my 7x57 and is devastating on whitetails. The deer I killed this year was at 50 yards broadside. The bullet entered 1/2 up the chest and 3 inches inside of the shoulder. The entrance side hole in the ribs was at least 1.5 inches in diameter and the off side hole in the ribs about 1 inch. That ol' boy didn't make it far. As another review on the 140 barnes ttsx noted, hardly any bloodshot meat. Incredible! I will never use another bullet for hunting.

I load these at 3500+ fps for my 7mm remington mag, making them very flat shooting and they hit like a lightning bolt.I've killed several elk with this combo and have been nothing but happy with this bullets performance,including a bull I killed @ around 600 yards, one shot put him down and he never moved again.Oh and they are accurate enough to shoot prairie dogs with the best of them.

Very accurate loading for my grandson's Ruger 7mm08 but have failed to exit several deer, thus leaving almost no blood trail. The bullet appears to be doing it's job by expanding but with no blood trail you run the risk of losing the deer in our thick woods. Will change to a bullet that will punch through better.

Wife took a very nice 9 pointer with this bullet out of her 7-08ai this past season. Shot at 40 yards right through the shoulder joint, exited out the off side shoulder with about a quarter sized exit hole. Deer went about 30 yards and went down for good. Great performance. MV was about 3180 fps. Most accurate bullet in her gun. Light recoiling, hard hitting, flat shooting.

280 AI Cooper Jackson Hunter shooting 100 yard 0.48" at >3200fps. One Buck and One Hog down in their tracks at under 100 yards in under 30 minutes. Never left the stand. I recovered one bullet under the offside hide in a doe that ran 50 yards without a heart about 10 minutes later weighing 119.4 grams shot at under 20 yards. The Hog took the round through both shoulder blades and still exited at under 50 yards. Impressive performance. No complaints! Think I may step up to the 140 grain bullet anyway...always looking for something better.

I had these loaded for me at 2950 fps for use in a Rem 700 in 7mm-08. It proved accurate. I shot at three deer with it. One at near 300 yds, bullet exited, lung shot, deer went about 70yds. One at 30 yds, neck shot, deer never moved. Last one at about 175 yds, lung shot, deer went about 30 yds. I will continue to use this bullet and rifle combo. Very low recoil and effective.

One hole groups at 100 yards out of a Rem. 700 hunting rifle! I had used Barnes bullets (270 & 223 TSX and TTSX) in my other rifles and they had not done well - I made up some light loads for my nephew in his youth model 700 in 7-08 and I was amazed. One hole groups, 1/2" groups, the "worst" load / seating depth combination grouped at 1 inch. But start with one box - to see if your gun likes them.AMAZING!
