This shell holder is way too loose for .223 shells. I am often shearing off parts of the rim when pulling a tight case out of the full length sizing die. There should be a little tolerance in the holder - but not as much as this one has. I bought an RCBS shell holder to replace this one and it is much better. I measured the shell holder lips with my dial calipers and the RCBS is 0.010" smaller in diameter than the Lee.

Lee products are always ...

Lee products are always the best value but sometimes they lack in quality. This shell-holder has caused numerous stuck cases due to its lose fit which tends to shear the rims of shells during resizing. I am satisfied with my other lee products but for now on I will be using RCBS shell-holders to save time and money in the long run.

Works as advertised. Had a stuck case (user error) on the deprime/sizer but this sucker took it out with one hard pull. Used it for depriming 1500 brass with ease.

I use this shell holder in both a RCBS Rockchucker and a Lee Classic Turret for 223. It works and fits very good. I don't have any problems with it.

For some reason my Lee .223 dies didn't include one, so I picked one up. Not sure about the other reviews before me complaining about being too loose or not working, but they seem to work fine for me. I use it in both my RCBS hand primer and rock chucker and I have not had any issues. I am new to reloading, so right now Lee's products are a really great deal for those new and on a budget. I have had very good success with Lee's dies and shell holders and I think for the money you can't ask for a better deal.

I don't know what the other rater's problem is, but it works just fine. At such a great price I'm buying a second one to compliment the one that came with my Lee Deluxe .223 rifle set so I don't have to swap the shellholder when priming.

I used this #4 shellholder in my RCBS hand primer tool to prime 32 S&W long ammo. It takes very little pressure to seat small pistol primers yet my MagTech brass cases pushed sideways and cocked upon use. This is the shell holder included with the Lee carbide die set. I ended up using a #10 RCBS shell holder meant for .222 Rem case heads. It worked like I wished the Lee would have.

Lee is one of the companies I like best, but this shellholder, I have ordered 2 in a span of 2 days. This shellholder has way to much slop for the .223 rem. I have a non-exaggerated count of 13 stuck cases in 4 days. When will I be able to resize my cases without feeling scared of more stuck cases?

Using this shellholder for .380 in a Lee turret press with Lee dies. I've lost count of how many pieces of brass I've ruined, but I know it's more than 30 after loading only 550 cartridges. For those of you that are inclined to do the math, that's over 5%...unacceptable in my opinion. This shellholder may be good for the other calibers listed (I have yet to try it for 223), but the amount of slop when used for 380 is far more than what one would expect. Normally, I have nothing bad to say about Lee products, but this shellholder should not be used for 380-there is far too much slop and only on occasion does it properly center the cartridge under the die. I've used it in an RCBS partner press (single stage) and now my Lee turret, also in my RCBS hand primer (oh-and Lee shellholders DO work correctly in RCBS hand primers-Lee uses different holders for their hand priming tools, RCBS doesn't). The only time where this shellholder works satisfactorily for 380 is with the hand priming tool, and even then it's a bit of a crapshoot. Jury's still out as to whether it works for me while loading 223 or not...I wish anyone else luck using this for 380.
