They are springs what more can I say about them. The trigger springs and hammer springs were easy to put in. But the Bolt (Main) spring is still not installed. I will wait until I have a little more free time. I have a stock bolt handle and assembly and it has a little "divot" on the end of the rod that holds the bolt handle on. Without some sort of permanent modification you will not be able to replace this spring. The aftermarket rods have a hole drilled in the end and use a small pin to hold keep the handle from coming to far forward. I will take a file and file of the "divot" and drill a hole in mine to replace this spring. If you don't mind doing a little work you can't beat the price of this kit to get better springs.

Will not work with a ...

Will not work with a Volquartsen Hammer. Because the hammer face is a slightly different geometry the hammer spring bottoms out before the hammer can go down far enough to provide sufficient clearance for the bolt to slide back. Bolt jammed backward after every shot. Very disappointed that this aftermarket product will not work with other aftermarket products. I would recommend that if you think you need a stronger spring then most likely you really need a new firing pin and fresh stock springs. Disappointed in myself for not realizing this. Not half as disappointed as I am in this product though.

These springs are the best deal out there but the down side is that you have to get your local gunsmith to replace the bolt spring. The best way I know of is to drill a small hole in the bolt rod and file down the bulge holding the bolt handle in now and putting a cross pin in the hole you drilled. Now the other springs are fairly easy to install and they haven't failed me yet. Well worth the extra few bucks.

Since I am the third Review I will alaborate on the assembly. I used a set of Hemostats, ( tweezers that ratchet and lock), neddlenose pliers may work the trick is jaws that are skinny enough to press farther than the clip you are installing, and clear the end of the strut. A cloths-pin to hold the strut on a newspaper (to prevent slippage, and rotating) and sraddle the strut, with the tool and press down with one hand holding the assembly together, past the notch, insert clip and viola. All 3 springs work Great, similar rates of misfires, but not now.

Installation was a snap for all the springs but the hammer spring, which was a bit tricky due to the strength of the spring, and the pressure required to compress it enough to get the assembly together. Still not a difficult install, but be prepared so you don't send small parts flying, and I hope you have strong fingers. As for function, my 10/22 used to misfire once in about every box of 50. I installed a power custom titanium firing pin (198801) at the same time, so I cannot say if it was the firing pin or the spring that did it, but now I have fired 540 rounds (30 each of 18 types of ammo without a single misfire. I would recommend buying both items if you are having misfire problems, just to be sure.
