The E2DL Executive Defender Flashlight The E2D LED is a compact, dual-output flashlight with self-defense enhancements. It features a virtually indestructible power-regulated LED emitter and a Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens. The E2D LED's pushbutton tailcap click switch lets you activate the flashlight and select output level: press or click for a 200-lumen high beam, ten times the light of a big two-D-cell flashlight, more than enough to overwhelm an aggressor's night-adapted vision; release or click off and press or click again for a 5-lumen ultra long-runtime low beam that's suitable for navigating around a dark room or parking lot. The Defender's crenellated Strike Bezel and scalloped tailcap provide further defensive options should the need arise.

Awesome light! I bought ...

Awesome light! I bought the regular light bulb on my recent trip to Falljuah, during my stay my bulb burnt out and I replaced it with this guy. Wow, light out put is super high and since it's LED powered, longer battery life! Overall very impressed.

I have been carrying one ...

I have been carrying one of these lights in the front pocket of my bib overalls for a year now. I would feel naked if I didn't have it at this point. It is perfect for everything I need it for, emergencies, looking for dropped items in dark places, it even makes a good bore light if you reflect it off the breech face. I carry it everywhere, before this one I had a bigger 6P Defender. It was nice too but it would get heavy after a whole day of walking around and it didn't have a pocket clip so it would fall out once in a while and get all banged up. The E2D never falls out of my pocket and it is so light it is great to carry around. That coupled with its extreme brightness has helped me find everything from small screws and springs that have flown across the room as I was disassembling a firearm to my friend's contact lens that popped out of his eye in a crowded bar. Buy one, you won't regret it. Besides, it has the strike bezel and the crenellated back so it can be held in a fist and used like a kubotan as well.

I bought one of these for ...

I bought one of these for a shooting class and it worked great. Then I showed it to my wife who has to walk to her car after dark at work and she is always worried about moose that hang out in the area and how it lit up the whole area including in the trees. Well lets just say I had to order another one for me. If you live in an area with a lot of darkness in the winter this item is awesome. Small and lightweight with big light.

On 26 November 2008 I submitted my comments about this magnificent light to Midway, where they remain today. Check them out.Just when I thought that Surefire could not make this light any better, they did. They increased the power from 120 lumens to 200! This is absolutely awesome. 200 lumens is like having a small aircraft landing light in your hands. The night trembles at the approach of the man with a Surefire!The E2D LED is my all-time favorite Surefire: I have one in the car, one on the nightstand and one in the utility room. I can't say enough good things about this awesome tool. Try one yourself and you'll be hooked.

This is my favorite Surefire personal light. I like it so much that I never leave home without it. Its LED system is nearly indestructable and slams a whopping 120 lumens of beautifully focused light at your target, which is enough to disorient both man and beast. The night trembels at the approach of the man with a Surefire. Its strike bezel is a very nice touch as well, adding an extra measure of security should the need arise. Additionally, this model uses a two-stage activation system allowing the user to easily and rapidly select a lower, fixed output of lumens, ideal for countless situations where extreme lighting is not necessary. This light is small and compact, making everyday carry a breeze. When it comes to strength, reliability, dependability and sheer quality, Surefire sets the standard for others to follow. I don't believe you can buy a better light at any price. Whether you are a military operative, public safety officer, outdoorsman, or anyone who'd like to have a bit of extra security at night, this is a superb tool to have. I love everything about this awesome light and would buy another in a heartbeat. Are Surefire products costly? Yes, but you truly get your money's worth. After having learned what I paid for this light, several friends thought I was a bit off my rocker. My response was to let them borrow it. The next thing you know, they are showing me their new Surefires. Before experiencing a Surefire, you may say "Man, that's expensive!" After using one, you'll say, "Wow, what a bargain!" If you are not serious about a serious product, then Surefire is not for you. If, on the other hand, you want or need a truly professional-grade product that you can stake your life on, Surefire is the ONLY choice.
