Bought this as an alternative to carrying an IWB. Found that my Glock 23 fits a little too snug and "rides high" for my liking. The hook and loop fasteners are definitely secure, and will hold anything you put inside the belt secure. Also like the quietness of the belt; you never hear any crackling from the hook and loops as you move about in your day. My only complaint is the belt is not reversible in the sense that the weapon holster is on the left side for a right hand cross draw. So if you carry strong side you may want to consider another option.

I have a 34 inch waist ...

I have a 34 inch waist and this was not the fit I was looking for, the material was uncomfortable on my skin and the balance between good retention of my xd subcompact and having the band too loose or tight was never satisfactory. I'm sure its fine for some but I will stick to an IWB holster.

I bought the belly band in 1997. I swear some guys Dont know how to use the BAND properly.You dont tuck in your shirt.You dont need to wear a belt.For the the best under cover carry. I wear my Nike gym trunks and Tshirt Or If Im at the Beach swimsuit and TshirtOr Jeans & T shirtNo one ever found me out.Ive carried small, medium and large handgunsWear the BAND below waistThe Band shouldnt show at all when wearing pants/shorts99% if I wear a Belt then I use IWB holsterAwesome holster for what its made for!

I bought this holster to ...

I bought this holster to use with my Glock 26. It holds the pistol securely. I have a 36" waist, so when I ordered, I was somewhat concerned that the band would be too small. However, I figured that the next larger size (38" to 40") would definitely be too big. The 30" to 34" size fits very well due to the wide hook and loop areas on the belt; it would probably be alright for a 37" waist as well. The product picture shows the belt being worn in a side carry mode. Since this type of carry rig is intended for wear with your shirt tucked, side carry requires the extra motion of pulling up your shirt during a draw. I am right handed, so for me it is very effective to wear the belly band at belt level, with the pistol butt just to the left of my navel in a front crossdraw position. I wear button shirts leaving a button undone to allow access to the Glock. I have a couple shirts where I sewed the button to the top of the shirt; I then secure the opening with a little piece of iron-on hook and loop.

I am very happy with it. ...

I am very happy with it. It holds both my Makarov and my Taurus PT145. It can be a bit itchy if the velcro gets out alignment and rubs on your skin but if you keep the holster on some sort of fabric, then it works very well. I can wear my skinniest jeans and shirts and hide my .45 in there.
